toxic work environment
Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) - Victoria, BC - 26 March 2022
CSR staff are treated like pawns to be moved around. upper mgmt. does everything to keep their job secure. Work is very stressful and all movement is monitored. Working 20 hrs. /wk. is about all I could manage given the level of stress. Very cult-like environment, 15 min. break per 5 hr. shift.
Pros
salary is decent
Cons
unpleasant work environment

Awful leadership=frustrated staff
Customer Service Representative (Current Employee) - Victoria, BC - 26 February 2018
The leadership do not listen to staff. They are in a bubble and, even though they conduct a yearly employee survey, they don't do anything to address staff concerns.
Tons of governance, a high reliance on contractors, working completely in silos, mixed with archaic leadership and old, tired executives make this a truly horrible workplace. Fine to get your foot in the door of government but otherwise, not too much going for it.
Pros
Good staff (not valued)
Cons
Bad leaders, low pay, underclassification
