I'm an RN and applied for a case manager position in July in Comox. I was contacted by a Bayshore recruiter and asked to complete paperwork for a government security clearance, which included me having to shell out money for fingerprints and clearance for working with vulnerable persons also at my expense. I was led to believe from the HR person that I was suitably qualified for the job and there would be no interview. Hmmm, weird right? So after going to the trouble and expense of completing paperwork and criminal record checks and waiting for several weeks with no response to my inquiries I was told another candidate had better qualifications. But the same recruiter told me not to be concerned another position would likely be available "in the next few months". I was very discouraged and angry feeling I was being played somehow. I was contracted again by the same HR person in mid-August and asked to resend via scan email all the same documents I had already sent with the inference being the original documents had not even been received!! I was told at that time they'd be needing me in mid-September. I'm still waiting!!! If I hadn't been contacted through Indeed I'd think I was being scammed somehow. Very bizarre and a huge waste of time so far. I am NOT impressed.
They had to go for an interview and the for a training and preparation.
