I tried hard to keep us up, but the cowboys running it crushed us by not listening to us experienced one's. Some great operators have came and gone. It could be great if all the bugs work out, and remember we are Canadians! Not South Africa. Some people can work well with a little respect. Pushing us out of compliance was bad for the company and really bad for US! You're dedicated people who tried to make it work. It's going to be hard to get a crew together that love this work.
Pros
the remote living on the ocean, and good people
Cons
list of things

Most unprofessional employer/company operators I have ever encountered. As is evident by a recent shut down order by the ministry of energy mines & petroleum resources, management both on site & in Vancouver knowingly operated the mine in violation of the requirements of the mines act putting people, the environment and the business in general in a position doomed to fail. Camp accomodations were also sub standard, food good & staff tried their best
Pros
3 week rotation
Cons
operated outside of the law

12 hour days 21 days consecutive. My first foray into the mining industry. I learned there isn't a lot of difference between industries as far as my job goes. Management was receptive to input from employees. Young workforce well educated and driven to excellence. The hardest part was juggling all requests with limited computer systems in place. The culture and the diversity of the people made it a good place to work. Great potential.
Pros
good people young energetic
Cons
3 weeks is a little long. Need to update the amenities
