BP Agencies or Globe Life Paz Organization as is now, is a subsidiary of American Income Life. So the company structure is the same as that of AIL. Don't be fooled by the awesome image they show in their American webinar. Only the top dogs of the business exemplify that. Majority live their lives having to have their ends meet (at least initially). Besides, Insurance business in the US is no where near the Canadian model. It's day and night difference. To put things into perspective, A top agent in the US has about $30,000 to $100,000 of Insurance Sales a week. A top agent here in this company has about $10,000 to $20,000 of Sales a month.The hiring model isn't the MLM style of the American entities per se. They never force anyone to recruit friends or family members, although there is a commission for referral recruit. They recruit candidates on LinkedIn and other platforms that are young, ambitious, driven with a strong work-ethic, naive and possibly desperate for a job. You'll have to invest $700-$1000 and 6-12 weeks of your time to get into the job (includes all the fees for exams to finally write your first piece of business)Co-workers and upline are very friendly people. However, you will be micromanaged possibly everyday. Commitment to long hours, weekends, and holidays are mandatory if you want to succeed. This is a 100% commission based pay structure. The contract is 50% of the business that you submit in the first 90 days and goes upto 60% thereafter, and keeps progressing upto 75%.When you are a new agent, you get to work mostly on reworked leads that have been -

Long hours, commission pay

It’s a lot of dialling to try to make appointments 90% of the leads given to you are recycled between agents. No pay for your time and effort making dials. Only get paid IF you get a sale, it’s false advertising to the clients.

supportive leaders

supportive work environment and managers.a lot of work to get clients to answer calls and set appointments with no financial reinbursement for time spent dialing and setting appointments for clients to not show up.

Great management/leadership team!

I have been working for BP Agencies for a year now. The team here is very supportive and professional. Best thing about working there is the CEO. Byron Paz is hardworking, supportive and one of the kindest people I have had the pleasure of working with. Truly a great leader.

Fantastic experience with tons of growth

This position at BP Agencies in Oakville is fantastic for anyone who is in sales. Unlike any other company, the company provides leads directly to you. There is absolutely no cold calling! Working remotely is absolutely amazing especially during the pandemic. The team is very supportive and will help you succeed, as long as you put the work in to be successful.

Great experience to grow personally and professionally

This job will help you develop your strengths and make you convert your weaknesses. Management help to motivate you to push yourself beyond what you think you can achieve. The culture is very supportive and everyone even your manager is pursuing the same work as you so it is inclusive. The company provides you with leads so this helps a lot for new comers with small networks. You do need to get licensed but the company supports with that as well. You earn what you work for. You put in the work and you will get the rewards. For people who like flexibility this is perfect.

Productive and well paid

I have been working at BP Agencies in Oakville for a few months now and it has been a great experience. At first, I was nervous about obtaining my license and completing the training process but The management team provides a great deal of support and resources along the way, making it a smooth and easy process. Unlike other insurance agencies, you do not need to bring in your own clients through friends and family members. The company works with unions to provide insurance to their workers so insurance agents are provided with leads that are already interested and desire to purchase insurance. Most importantly, I have seen that those who put in the time and effort have great earning potential through commissions and bonuses and have been quite successful.

Background in Sales? BP Agencies is perfect for you.

Former employee; this type of sales role just wasn't for me. If you have worked in sales, are willing to learn about life insurance (or already have life insurance experience) and want to work remotely, then this role is for you. Supportive team environment, leads are provided to you, training is great and you can definitely see success in the business. The system works and if you believe in it too you will thrive.

Not happy

Not happy at all. No business no pay. No support their pay is on commission basis. No other benefits from the company side. They say we r independent businesses, so no responsibility for them to pay
