Management lacked direction. Focus seemed to change quite a bit. Overall, I enjoyed working there and only left due to a downturn in buisness resulting from COVID.

Time waste

Save your time and money driving all over hells half acre in your own vehicle. Minimum reimbursement for fuel if any. HR is a joke and you would be lucky if they pick up the phone. Disbatch is also an unorganized mess, you dont know where you will be going the next day until 9 that night sometimes. If you dont work weekends they will punish you and not give you work for the week. If you are an apprentice, save your time and go somethere where you will learn something and be treated better than a piece of livestock.

Good to Grow

Axiom is a good place to grow - for many people. I started with Axiom in 2015, and I have worked in both the office and multiple project sites. The management team at Axiom went through changes between 2016-2017 but has really evolved into a positive and supportive team. Like all of our employees, I was given the opportunity to grow and develop my skills within the company. Axiom has a great education and training reimbursement program and prizes skills relevant to the industry, career, and health & safety. As well, Axiom provides great opportunities for face time and development with Axiom’s senior management and executive teams. Axiom's employees work hard, and the management team supports them. Typically, hours worked range from 6 am to 4 pm, Monday to Friday with optional overtime. The office staff tend to get some flexibility as they can also work remotely - which is a benefit to anyone. There can also be travel related to work. Axiom has a workplace culture that celebrates successes and tries to learn the most from other experiences. To show gratitude for employees during work hours Axiom has pizza parties for project milestones achieved, as well as donuts and coffee during weekend work. Around holidays, Axiom gives BBQ's to thank employees for their contributions. There are annual holiday parties run by Axiom for its employees and their spouses/family. The hardest part of the job is that we are undergoing significant growth and change, which is also a benefit. For many people, this can be stressful, for others a chance to grow. A great place to work!

This is the BEST Millwrighting Company that I have ever worked for. There are no secrets here. All Axiom expects from you is to show up every day, on time and put in a honest days work, for a honest days pay...it is really that simple. The Foreman in the field along with the Foreman in the Fab Shop always take time to listen to their workers, they are always in constant dialogue, they are always mentoring and tutoring giving their Apprentices the confidence they need to be successful. The Management Team and the Foreman are always in constant conservation looking for their next Foreman. A workers who show up every day, on time, who is ready to work with a good work ethic/attitude will always be first in line for a promotion....always. A great place to work.

You might have to start early and work a long day once in a while.

if you like overtime and are flexible oppotunity is there . good bunch of people . there are times where work is slow but for mosr part they keep you busy
