Good place to work I guess
System Assembler I (Current Employee) –  Richmond, BC19 September 2018
For me, this place is in between good and bad. I'm standing for hours everyday and they asking us for an overtime, it seems to them that we're machines in front of their eyes ( maybe because we're not working in the office I guess).
Pros
Free fruits every monday, Free cakes for everyone when there's a birthday celebrants, very nice coworkers, good products.
Cons
This place has no idea what's going on.They compared our performance to other branches e.g. Plano, TX. Low wage salary.

Not A place to work.
Cycle Counter (Former Employee) –  Richmond, BC11 September 2018
Avigilon is not a place I would recommend anyone to work at. The require long hours for little pay. Little or no recognition. The work culture is managed by fear and threats. Management requires you to work most of your holidays.

They have a good product and it is selling well. Management does not know how to forecast sales and provide enough labor to meet the sales demands. Until this changes it is not a good place to work.
Pros
Co-workers are fun.
Cons
Long hours, little pay, manage by fear.

Changing company
Senior Sales Director (Former Employee) –  Vancouver, BC18 September 2017
Avigilon over the years has changed in it's culture and attitude. They moved from a small company, concerned with customer satisfaction to one of pleasing only the investors.

NA (Former Employee) –  Richmond, BC10 March 2017
You cannot find any worse company than Avigilon.
I am surprised seeing even those few positive feedback here?!!!
Everybody at Avigilon you talk to is looking for a new job.
Believe it or not, 90% of the employees have worked there less than 2 years!
Never risk your life and job by going to Avigilon.
I hope I could rate them ZERO STAR.

Manager (Former Employee) –  Vancouver, BC23 February 2017
Difficult to have traction with projects. Strategies are not cost effective. Either doing the right things at the wrong time or the wrong things at the right time.

Regional Sales Manager (Current Employee) –  Vancouver, BC Canada19 January 2017
Upper management is clueless and have no vision. If they do they certainly will not share it with the people making all the revenue for the company. Failed product launches, horrible communication, customer service has been slipping...stock levels falling

Senior role (Former Employee) –  Vancouver31 July 2016
Management refuses to learn from their mistakes. They deserve every bad thing that comes their way for the way they treat people and the people's lives they have turned upside down. Culture of fear abounds and if you do not succumb to brainwashing you will be gone in 60 seconds.

Management Believes In Fear To Get The Job Done
Various Positions (Current Employee) –  Vancouver, BC14 December 2015
If you want to work in a fast-paced business where you are expected to work Stat Holidays & put in tons of extra time this is the place for you. Perfect for single people who do not have a family or want to part of the world socially. Management believes in fear based tatics in order to get work done and many do not have any skills nor have any idea how to do the work they expect of their team. They do not believe in promoting within as management fears that these team members will have power PLUS know what they are doing while moulding a team... what a concept
Pros
benefits and wage
Cons
management (lack there of), fear based tactics, revolving door of workers

Sweat shop with apalling turnover
HR (Former Employee) –  Vancouver, BC20 October 2015
I did a contract role in HR. The hiring process was extremely slow, and the recruiter didn't know if she was coming or going. I had 6 (?!) interviews, then got offered a 3 month contract. The process took over 3 months start to finish.

There is zero tolerance for any constructive feedback on process/environment, and the leadership in HR was very poor. How can a leader in HR be so awkward around people?!

There were some good people there (this was a year ago) but the high turnover has continued. If you're a heads down 'yes man/woman' you might be ok, but if not best to steer clear of this place.

❸ SMT Machine-Operator (Former Employee) –  Richmond, BC17 May 2015
Every day was like a new day, because there was always something new to learn and the more I learned, the more confident I felt about my position. All of my co-workers were friendly, and supportive people not only work related problems but any other issues too. Management provided us with a safe and friendly environment to work at.
