Blindingly fast pace, life at Avigilon is never boring.
Order Management Representative (Former Employee) – Vancouver, BC – 5 October 2018
My tenure with Avigilon was very unusually long, for a tech company. And I have lots of good experiences there and even more bad. The salary range is good, for a reason. Review your decision to join CAREFULLY.
Daily Fruit offering, if you get there fast enough, industry is fast pace never boring.
Too long to list in this field or any other fields offered.
System Assembler I (Current Employee) – Richmond, BC – 19 September 2018
For me, this place is in between good and bad. I'm standing for hours everyday and they asking us for an overtime, it seems to them that we're machines in front of their eyes ( maybe because we're not working in the office I guess).
Free fruits every monday, Free cakes for everyone when there's a birthday celebrants, very nice coworkers, good products.
This place has no idea what's going on.They compared our performance to other branches e.g. Plano, TX. Low wage salary.
Cycle Counter (Former Employee) – Richmond, BC – 11 September 2018
Avigilon is not a place I would recommend anyone to work at. The require long hours for little pay. Little or no recognition. The work culture is managed by fear and threats. Management requires you to work most of your holidays.
They have a good product and it is selling well. Management does not know how to forecast sales and provide enough labor to meet the sales demands. Until this changes it is not a good place to work.
NA (Former Employee) – Richmond, BC – 10 March 2017
You cannot find any worse company than Avigilon. I am surprised seeing even those few positive feedback here?!!! Everybody at Avigilon you talk to is looking for a new job. Believe it or not, 90% of the employees have worked there less than 2 years! Never risk your life and job by going to Avigilon. I hope I could rate them ZERO STAR.
Management, Atmosphere of Fear, Workload, Job Security, ...
Regional Sales Manager (Current Employee) – Vancouver, BC Canada – 19 January 2017
Upper management is clueless and have no vision. If they do they certainly will not share it with the people making all the revenue for the company. Failed product launches, horrible communication, customer service has been slipping...stock levels falling
Automation Test Engineer (Current Employee) – Vancouver, BC – 22 November 2016
Great company to learn. Contribution and achievement get recognized within the team, and the company. I enjoyed working at Avigilon since day one. Lots of social events and employees work well together.
Any positive review you see here was written by HR or the CEO's daughter
Senior role (Former Employee) – Vancouver – 31 July 2016
Management refuses to learn from their mistakes. They deserve every bad thing that comes their way for the way they treat people and the people's lives they have turned upside down. Culture of fear abounds and if you do not succumb to brainwashing you will be gone in 60 seconds.
Various Positions (Current Employee) – Vancouver, BC – 14 December 2015
If you want to work in a fast-paced business where you are expected to work Stat Holidays & put in tons of extra time this is the place for you. Perfect for single people who do not have a family or want to part of the world socially. Management believes in fear based tatics in order to get work done and many do not have any skills nor have any idea how to do the work they expect of their team. They do not believe in promoting within as management fears that these team members will have power PLUS know what they are doing while moulding a team... what a concept
benefits and wage
management (lack there of), fear based tactics, revolving door of workers
HR (Former Employee) – Vancouver, BC – 20 October 2015
I did a contract role in HR. The hiring process was extremely slow, and the recruiter didn't know if she was coming or going. I had 6 (?!) interviews, then got offered a 3 month contract. The process took over 3 months start to finish.
There is zero tolerance for any constructive feedback on process/environment, and the leadership in HR was very poor. How can a leader in HR be so awkward around people?!
There were some good people there (this was a year ago) but the high turnover has continued. If you're a heads down 'yes man/woman' you might be ok, but if not best to steer clear of this place.
A place full of new opportunities. Fun people to work with.
❸ SMT Machine-Operator (Former Employee) – Richmond, BC – 17 May 2015
Every day was like a new day, because there was always something new to learn and the more I learned, the more confident I felt about my position. All of my co-workers were friendly, and supportive people not only work related problems but any other issues too. Management provided us with a safe and friendly environment to work at.
