What is the best part of working at the company?Good pay and good owner that runs the system in avante.What is the most stressful part about working at the company?Number's of the house 100 plus in 12 hrs even during the alarm. I thinks that’s stressing for some of there workers. They need to hire more , they fire a lot of them after the are exhausting the employees. not a clean patrolling but it has to be done. What is the work environment and culture like at the company?Is not bad. Just work and go home type of company What is a typical day like for you at the company?Not bad, Very busy place to be in.

I enjoyed working with his company

Patrolled in mobile unit within assigned area. Trained and uniformed by the company. Trained in First Aid, Criminal Code and Self Defense.Management was quite approachable and assisted with my needs.Mutual assistance by other officers was always provided.

Stay away from that company.No good salaries, no good benefits.Managers are pushing hard all the employees.Terrible on-call rotation.Vice CEO is very rude.

They only pretend to take your concerns seriously

Management was very two faced and was an old boy's club culture. You were sent to sites with no information and if you did not have all the necessary equipment because you were not given the proper information, somehow this was YOUR fault. Employee safety was not a priority for them either and they would tell you it was a priority but then throw you under the bus right after. They would put you in the on call rotation a day before without consideration that plans had already been made and thay had ample time to make arrangements but wait to the last second and ruin someone's holiday because of their poor planning.

Not your average security position. Very attractive and luxurious on the outside! Very demanding and competitive on the inside! Was ecstatic to join the team as a new hire, was re assured I would be valued. Was told I was recruited at a interstellar period in time for the company. I Felt otherwise during Covid-19. I needed this! This job is active and high performance! Your average security guard is posted. Multiply that by 100 (more or less) at Avante! This job is a challenge and requires a lot of responsibility! Lots of pressure and deadlines, quotas to be met. Even more tense amongst some sort of political health pandemic. Nevertheless, purpose and kept busy! Lots of setbacks from Covid-19. Job considerably more dangerous and restrictions in place. Vague instruction for detail at times, procedure didn't seem consistent at times. Did not get introduced to the company appropriately. Got thrown into the field with basic training, had to learn 100% along the way. No formal introductions. Some training was missed. My evaluations went forgotten. Great title and role to play in the community. From my perspective and dealings in the field, their technology could be better. Should value and respect their frontline more, they are the crown jewel of their package(s) for clientele. Nonetheless scary encounters without warning such as vicious guard dogs(that will hurt you) of clients(who have been described unfairly) from management(who talks a lot of trash) exploiting the clients paranoia and needs for safety and security at times. Worst company

Supervisors at akm think that nobody can touch them as the security manger frank pettersen is behind their back protecting them. Fast Paced good group of co-workers

Overall, I would say that this Job is not for the laid back slow-paced kind of person. The Job is very much a fast-paced meet deadline kind of work, however, if this is what fits your style of work then it is very rewarding to know you have met clients needs to the best of your abilities

Join if your not lazy

If your a lazy person who likes to sit in a car and do nothing then this isn't the company for you. Hasn't been a year and I've moved up once and can do it again. People who complain about long hours have never done mobile work before because all companies require 12 hrs from you. Best company hands down from all I've been in for the last 10yrs in the industry.

Progressive company that is doing big things!

I have been working for Avante for just under a year. The company has undergone a lot of changes with mergers/acquisitions/new management but is focused and determined to do everything possible to be accountable to all stakeholders. It is not an easy place to work as the work is tough and time-sensitive, but when your clients demand instant service and security, employees must be extremely knowledgeable and prepared at all times.

Friday Breakfasts, CEO Town Halls, Management Retreats, Opportunities for Growth, etc.

Accountability (if you consider that a con, look elsewhere!)

Company going to zero

Small time company trying to go big time but tripping along the way. Maybe join if you have no plans to stick around or advance as I give this place less than 5 years before its sold or goes under. If your career minded my advice would be to look elsewhere. Namaste.

Productive, challenging

There were many different jobs to do with this company so you were always active. Driving a nice car and being in luxury environments was very enjoyable. However the hours were very long and tiresome. Great company but could have more incentives in pay.
