AutoCanada Employee Review
Fun Place to Work
Sales Associate (Former Employee) - Toronto, ON - 19 August 2023
Was a fun place to work and learned a lot about the sales process and how to negotiate with customers. Did cold calling and account visits, enjoyed my time there.

Great staff, corporate micromanages everything, long hours, pay always changing
Sales Associate (Former Employee) - Ottawa, ON - 25 January 2023
Staff is fantastic! from the GM to the sales consultants everyone is pleasant to work with. Very well run dealership with specific processes that are mandatory to follow(which is good because it works). Its owned by the biggest dealer group in Canada so resources are readily available but they are greedy and will kick you to the curb if you don't follow every instruction they give. Corporate is run by a bunch of guys, half of them with no industry experience micromanage everyone including the GM. GM always has to check in with corporate to make any decisions. The pay is always changing , commission structure changes every time corporate finds an opportunity to save money. My pay was changed for the worse a handful of times in 2 years in sales(never for the better). Sales consultants and manager are paid well, finance manager position at 417 nissan is the lowest in the province ( starts at 11%).

Cons
Corporate, no work like balance, micromanaging, very stressful culture

Play their game or your gone
Sales Associate (Former Employee) - Winnipeg, MB - 11 February 2021
No business ethics, be part of the clique or find a new job, thrive on ripping off customers and screwing over employees that have morals and ethics. Would not recommend working there if you have an honest bone in your body.
Pros
Hours were okay
Cons
Literally everything.

Financial Controller (Former Employee) - Toronto, ON - 13 December 2019
One of the best company i have ever worked for, not sure who advised them to sell that dealership where i used to work for. May be GM at that time misled them who later fired by the new owners. Overall excellent experience. Full training available. Great management. Real company culture. Management hierarchy in place. Controllers working for a company for long time that shows great trust on Auto Canada. The
