Client Service Representative (Former Employee) – Vancouver, BC – 25 November 2018
At first glance, this company may seem like a great opportunity to get into the cannabis world but once you get in and see how they run it, you'll be disgusted. This is NOTHING like how a cannabis company should be. Managers/leads can be rude, clicky and snoby. I guess they're all stressed out and overwhelmed. You'd think that people would be laid back and friendly but this is not the case. HR is the worst. They are so up tight and corporate like you can't believe it. HR will back up managers at all cost without conducting any sort of investigations. All based on assumptions. They offer good benefits but thats because they know you'll need a massage at the end of each week. Save yourself the hassle its not worth it
Bottling Associate (Current Employee) – Nisku, AB – 22 November 2018
Being part of a new company that’s quickly growing is an enjoyable experience. The work is interesting, and there’s a lot you can learn if you apply yourself. The hardest part of the job is getting used to working the night shifts.
Harvester (Former Employee) – Nisku, AB – 20 November 2018
I rarely leave any reviews on companies but this one is a must. Worst experience ever. This company claims on their job postings that they are an equal opportunity employer which is not true. I've seen a LOT of favouritism going around. Managers will promote their friends so they can all cover for each other. HR is a joke. They claim to have open door policy but you dare speak and they will fire you. Just like managers, these HR hypocrites all know each other well and worked together in the same company before. Don't believe me? Just head over to linkedin and you'll connect the dots! They'll also prefer hiring people from outside than promoting from within even if they claim that this is the policy they support. Lies lies lies! Don't trust anyone at this place there are a lot of hypocrites and back stabbers. Very toxic and unhealthy environment. I've seen people getting fired for literally no reason just because their manager don't like them and HR will back them up LOL It's like a mafia! You will only realize where you were and how you've been treated once you get out. Save yourself some dignity and don't apply for this place. Just read the reviews from other workers and you'll see with your own eyes.
Front office (Current Employee) – Cremona, AB – 15 November 2018
If you love drama, back stabbing colleagues/managers that pretend to care about you and being under appreciated for your hard work, then Aurora is the place for you. No one is afraid to use you as a stepping stone to get ahead. Its overcrowded and lacks structure and no one is interested in helping you grow or flourish in any kind of career. If you're interested in the cannabis industry, there are plenty other better options now. The pay is mediocre just like the weed and the Hr dept is a literal joke even amongst staff. Upper management are all entitled men who abuse their power and treat people terribly.
Bottle Sorter (Former Employee) – Edmonton, AB – 12 November 2018
HR policies suck at this company. They prefer to let people go instead of training them. They make you feel like they dont care about you even if you care about the company. Basically, lick some boots or you leave. Not the cannabis vibe you'd be looking for.
Harvestor (Former Employee) – Cremona, AB – 8 June 2017
I had a great experience working at Aurora. One I will always carry with me. I gained experience I would have never gained at any other job due to the nature of this one. Great atmosphere and people to work with.
Labourer (Current Employee) – Cremona, AB – 22 March 2017
This place is very new, so I have been giving them the benefit of the doubt. They have a very hard time at listening to the concerns of their employees and sweep a lot of things under the rug. shady with HR.
