In 1949, our founder, Kihachiro Onitsuka saw that sport had the power to uplift the minds of people in post-war Japan. It’s why we’re called ASICS. It’s an acronym from the Latin phrase Anima Sana In Corpore Sano, or a Sound Mind in a Sound Body. Today, our founding philosophy is still at the heart of everything we do. We believe that movement –
Multiple countries, one team.
ASICS EMEA has offices, retail stores and distribution centres across the region – from Scandinavia to the UK, Europe, Spain and South Africa. We have 2000+ employees in 14 office locations, including the newly designed headquarters based in the Netherlands. Our motivated sales teams work across the region in various retail spaces from full price stores to factory outlets and shop-in-shop locations. Each employee receives the training they need to carry out their role and become a brand ambassador. To get our ASICS products in the right hands, we have two innovative distribution centres in Garons (France) and Krefeld (Germany). Here more than 200 employees are assisted by robots and KNAPP technology to help with labour-intensive tasks.
Stronger teams, bigger impact.
Since 1949, our purpose has been to help people achieve a sound mind in a sound body. And that counts for our employees too. We are committed to supporting the physical and mental wellbeing of our teams – giving them opportunities to learn, move and thrive. Whether it’s through internal movement challenges, our in-office gyms, onboarding programmes for new joiners, or leadership training. When you join ASICS, you join a team of diverse thinkers. We recently signed the Diversity & Inclusion Charter, demonstrating our commitment to fostering greater diversity and inclusion at ASICS EMEA.
