Warehouse Worker (Former Employee) –  Brantford, ON21 February 2019
Meeting in the morning so everyone knows where to go.
All employees work as a team
The hardest part of the job is each day is a twelve hour shift.
If you are full time employee you have swing shifts.

Lead Hand (Former Employee) –  Ancaster, ON22 January 2019
at first its hard and then you start dreaming about it. afterwards it gets easier although the managers don't enjoy seeing us talk, be ready for peoples stories and life events. Its beautiful and multi-taskers will have it easier. its the same as walking and chewing gum at the same time. do not get caught chewing gum. everyone should have a chance to work in oakrun. It'll discipline and teach you to wake early everyday fake a smile or leave the b face on. it don't matter as long as you don't get involved in drama you will be lucky. that is easy being sucked into at oakrun due to thousands of people everyday doing what they do best.
Pros
multicultural
Cons
Long hours

Aryzta is not a very good company to work for.
MAINTENANCE PLANNER (Current Employee) –  Maintenance7 January 2019
Aryzta is a very hard place to work for. We are the minority and treated as so. If you have any issues you have no place to go to get any kind of help what so ever. If you are planning to work here then I hope you have a thick skin.
Cons
We are the minority and treated so.

Fast paced environment , which required multitasking and strong decision making skills. Had an opportunity to work closely with R&D and production that helped me to improve my problem solving skills.

Business Development (Former Employee) –  Mississauga, ON1 October 2018
A lot of change going on with no end in sight. Constant shifting strategy and priorities. Very few opportunities given for career advancement. Little confidence in leadership. Morale and culture very negative.

Only job around or i would be gone
Operator (Current Employee) –  Brantford, ON30 August 2018
Worst job I've ever had. Management treat you like garbage. Supervisors all sit together and make fun of other workers.
Supervisors also just sit and watch youtube all night and never come to the line to help out.the only reason why I am still working here is the money.
Pros
When you get to go home after your shift
Cons
Supervisors don't care, Management treat you like garbage, no respect from anybody

Hopefully on the right track now
Health, Safety & Sustainability Manager (Current Employee) –  Burnaby, BC23 August 2018
Recent changes at the top US/global level seems to have moved US/CAN business unit on the right track after 3 rough years.
At the local bakery level, capacity has been overgrown. A good problem to have but a challenge at every level for the past couple years.
Management team is good, passionate, engaged, willing to take this bakery to the next level.
It is a unionized environment and a challenge on a regular basis. Good learning experience.
A place where you can take your own opportunity.
Pros
Free food, good benefit
Cons
Work / Life balance is a challenge. Company did not pay bonus since I started there.

solid work that wont lay you off but advancement only for "yes" people
Labourer (Former Employee) –  Ancaster, ON14 July 2018
It's a good long term place but unless you're a "yes" man, you'll be stuck in your job

They try to make you happy but with such low turn around in management, it's hard to move up in a decent time frame
Pros
loads of hours
Cons
too many hours sometimes

Machine Operator/Labourer (Former Employee) –  Hamilton, ON26 April 2018
A typical day at work would consist of preparing and organizing for production. Must have great communication skills and work well with others. Very repetitive work including heavy lifting, walking, bending, pushing etc. Great place to work to earn good money. Just be prepared to work 12 hour shifts.
Pros
great money
Cons
12 hour shifts days and nights

A bunch of racists
Mixer Operator (Former Employee) –  Ancaster, ON26 January 2018
If you wanna work like a slave and stay a general labourer for years after years this is the place. They are all racist kurds and you have to be one of them to move up to an operator or lead hand. Good pay and overtime but terrible managers and no respect for anyone. When you have a problem you talk to the manager they laugh at you with the supervisors to your face (their cousins) terrible terrible place
Pros
Lots of work
Cons
Worst place ever

Old machinery, bad attitudes, good pay...
Production Operator/Packaging Operator (Former Employee) –  Brantford, ON15 January 2018
This was a decent place to work when I started years ago, now it’s more or less terrible with the exception of the odd awesome person to work with. There’s a lot of new employees and for the most part are clueless about how to do their job. The training is terrible so it’s more or less at no fault of their own. They have new people training new people that still don’t know their job. All employees that have been there long term have a terrible attitude. The equipment is as old as the factory and things break down all the time. They never actually replace anything, just put temporary bandaids on them. The work you do isn’t appreciated whatsoever. You can go above and beyond and they don’t notice but if you make one small mistake it’s the end of the world. Most of the supervisors and team leads were decent but when it comes to upper management all they care about is themselves and their bonuses, you’re just a replaceable number. The continental shifts are 50/50, long hours that can really drag but a lot of days off in return. The only real bonus to this job is it does pay quite well. To be honest the pay isn’t worth the headache. Stay away from this place if you like your sanity...
Pros
Good income.
Cons
Everything else.
