Management is not great. They lie to you. Too much drama, supervisors like to talk behind everyones back. They promise you things they cant give you. I hate it

very friendly and productive workspace
Customer Sales Representative (Former Employee) –  Kitchener, ON24 May 2018
Arvato was one of my favourite employee. a typical day at work used to go by in a blink, it used to be very productive. I learned to work in great teams. team building was the key to succeed in this company. management was also very cooperative and helpful towards everyone in the workplace. the hardest part was to satisfy the customers on the end as it was a call centre and it is hard for the customers to trust someone whom they cannot see. However, then again the most enjoyable part was also a successful call.

Overall a good place to start a career. Management and employees were generally good people and easy to work with. Great morale and spirit. Management did not have great experience or tools but did ok with what they had.
Pros
Good culture

Excellent Company to work for.
Operations Supervisor (Current Employee) –  Waterloo, ON3 April 2018
Arvato is an amazing company. There are support systems in place for any and all situations. The people are both dedicated and professional. This company promotes from within and provides the support and tools needed to achieve personal goals.
The learned skills are transferrable and beneficial to bring to any company.

Don't Do It lol
CSR (Current Employee) –  Kitchener, ON19 March 2018
Very dirty environment
Poorly managed by people who take so many smoke breaks they are never there to support staff
Company likes to save money by not hiring more people when tax season and other notoriously busy times are coming up
You are locked into a shift for four months, and even your first choice could be a bad shift because they don't care about work-life balance
Decent benefits package
Payment just under what you'd get at most other call centers like Rogers or TD, but you don't have to do sales
Management is lazy and picks favorites
Most people are fun to work with
The job itself is fine but the morale and management are so bad that the job becomes difficult
Job security is 100% because they never fire anyone no matter how badly they mess up
Opportunity for advancement depends on if you smoke with the supervisors or go out for drinks with them, they promote their friends
Pros
Job itself is easy
Cons
Management, dirtiness, morale

Favoritism
CSR - Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) –  Kitchener-Waterloo, ON16 December 2017
Management doesn't know what they're doing. Giving us extra work, while not increasing our pay.

Additionally, management has their own favourites that they will push upwards as much as they can, until they reach their desired position while others that work just as hard, or even more get no credit whatsoever.

Use this company as a stepping stone if you can, else they will use YOU as one, and dump you somewhere in the back, no matter how hard you try, if management doesn't like you, you're not going to go up.

Terrible experience with Arvato.
Pros
There used to be pizza every week, not anymore
Cons
Management is terrible. Pay is even worse considering the amount of work we have to do

too much pressure not enough pay
Customer Service Representative (Current Employee) –  Waterloo, ON6 December 2017
Training took very long and pay was too low for the on demand pressure requested.
Also people were getting fired for reasons that did not seam reasonable and that created a fear of loss that didn't sit well with me.

Great place if you like to talk!
Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) –  Kitchener-Waterloo, ON18 October 2017
Not my favorite place to work unfortunately. Training provided was 3 weeks but their were an unlimted amount of circumstances you could run into while talking to customers. When you tried to find a resolution for the customer but needed assistance...team leads were either unavailable or didnt know how to answer you question which made it difficult to help the customer!

Nothing out of the ordinary
Customer Service Representative (Current Employee) –  Kitchener, ON3 October 2017
It's a typical call center. Some campaigns are better than others. You're experience depends on the campaign you are a part of. Some campaigns seem more relaxed, and some of them can be more stressful.
Pros
Free lunch if your working on a statutory holiday.
Cons
Having to work statutory holidays

A place to start and move on as quickly as possible.
Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) –  Kitchener, ON6 September 2017
A lot of your experience with Arvato will depend on which line of business you are hired on to. If you are hired on to Ally, use it as a step to get another job as the management structure is reminiscent of a high school club rather than a professional place of business. I have heard other departments are better but have no direct experience.
Pros
It's a job.
Cons
The management plays favourites which works well if you are a favourite.
