Plan on being stuck on 2nd shift for a long time. It will take a minimum of 12-13 yrs to get to 1st shift. If you're lucky, you can get on 3rd but will be bumped back to 2nd due to higher seniority people being able to change shifts every 6 months. New hires can only request it once a year.
Medical insurance will cost over $80 a week to cover you and 1 or more children--- once the $2500 yrly deductible is paid, they will cover 80% for services. Company pays nothing towards it.
Dental Plan isn't accepted at very many offices - high deductible and then pays 80% only.
You only get a ten minute break and a 14 minute lunch per shift.
You can't have a cell phone in the shop and will be terminated if they find out you have one -- they are authorized to search you.
You can't bring a bag, purse, toolbox, lunch box, or any type of vessel that holds anything personal in it -- not even chapstick or hand lotion into the shop. They can search you.
You can't miss work or be late for ANY reason during probationary period. I witnessed a young lady being informed that if she missed her shift (or even came in late) to attend her father's funeral, she would be terminated. She came to work and cried the entire shift. .
medical/dental insurance premiums, short breaks, no consideration or compassion for unexpected/unavoidable life events
