Overall a decent workplace for fast food
Cook (Current Employee) - Kingston, ON - 14 June 2022
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedThe work is fast paced and sometimes you can be understaffed but the managers and co workers are very sociable and fun to be around and the job isn’t too strenuous on slower days it’s very lax.

Jobs at Arby's
Cook positionsDon't even try - unless you're a highschool student
Cashier and Cook (Current Employee) - Saskatoon, SK - 4 October 2019
This place is good for highschool students ONLY, only because of flexible scheduling. If you work frontline, they will cut your hours if their sales for the day are low. You are encouraged by the manager to do "extra cleaning" if you do good with that, your reward? More extra cleaning. I work frontline and backline, been here for 2 years, as hard as anyone would work if they care about the place. Never given a raise, stayed at the minimun wage because the management is really really cheap to the bone.

Fun Workplace
Cook/Cashier (Current Employee) - Port Hope, ON - 4 September 2017
A typical day at work, is mainly full of fun. I've learned alot here, and it's extremely fun. The management can be a little bad at some times, but it's fun. The hardest part of the job is probably the rushes, sometimes they get extremely bad, and it gets really stressful. The most enjoyable part, is interacting with other people who maybe you wouldn't of met.
Pros
50% when you work, and on Tuesdays for people you know.

Very flexible workplace but environment can be socially toxic
Cashier/Cook (Current Employee) - Burlington, ON - 30 June 2017
I love my job here. It is super easy and they're very flexible with the hours but sometimes the work environment can be socially toxic. Some of the coworkers indulge in a lot of drama and gossip
Pros
Flexible hours
Cons
bad shifts

productive workplace
Cashier/Cook (Former Employee) - Guelph, ON - 19 January 2017
a typical day at work was cleaning, serving, restocking, and communicating with customers. I learnt how to handle money, properly handle unhappy customers, handle food, and keep the work environment clean and safe.I got along with management great as well as other employees. The hardest part was busy days and big rushes, the most enjoyable was the people i worked with as well as watching customers leave with a smile.
Pros
great coworkers
Cons
working with greasy food

typical fast food work, unstable managment.
Cook (Former Employee) - Hespeler road, Cambridge - 6 February 2015
An average day would be starting my shift stocking the kitchen with different ingredients like sauces, vegatables, etc. Then as the day went on I would be preparing food and cleaning or stocking in between.
This eviroment needs you to be able to be reliable under pressure and be an effective multitasker and while working at Arby's i've learned these skills.
The Management here needs work because of issues in shift management sometimes not receiving a shift two weeks in a row, this definately needs work!
The hardest part of this job is trying to adapt to this kind of fast paced enviroment.
