It's your typical waitressing job, dealing with picky and difficult customers, running around, no breaks, but some of my best memories have been working there and making lifelong friends.

Avoid working here

Server/Bartender (Former Employee) - Coventry Hills, AB - 25 July 2023

Over 10 years in the industry and this place is by far the worst. No regard for staff well being. Food is pre-made in the morning and then microwaved throughout the day. Sometimes using the same foot made from a few days ago.

If you're ok to tip out 35% of your TIPS, by all means, work here. It's ridiculous how much money they take from you that doesn't go where they say it does. Robbery.

Good Summer job

Server/Bartender/Supervisor (Current Employee) - Niagara Falls, ON - 19 November 2018

Located in tourist area of Niagara Falls many hours available during peak season (May-September). Great tips and great crew of people employed. Many people have been there for a long period of time. Hours are much slower, tips are much less during off season.

Not a great environment to work in

Works as a Bar tender, an expo for food and server (Former Employee) - Windsor, ON - 3 July 2018

I would work in the bar, serve tables and answer the phone, I learned great customer service skills and how to multitask. Management was okay, but they need work on handling certain situations better. The work place culture was toxic, very toxic. Hardest part was to work with my co-workers.Go in get your time, do your job and leave. The most enjoyable part was probably the regulars that came in.

Productive and fun place to work

I really enjoyed working at WCB, they have great management, along with great teams to work with. They strive to help people to move up within the company, and take internal courses. They really love to make sure the team is working as a whole so they do a lot of team building to which is fun. I have no complaints of working within this company as they where nothing but great to me and always understandable when life happened.

Fun Work Environment

As a teenager I worked as a hostess, server and bartender at our neighbourhood Applebee's Bar and Grill. I enjoyed the people I worked with, and the atmosphere at our restaurant.

Great place to get your feet wet if you're new to restaurants. Fun place to work, guest expectation is pretty laid back - Management there was hit and miss, people loved the Fiesta lime Chicken.

Productive and fun work place with great management

Applebees's is a job that I've had that I have always been excited to go to. The people that I work with have become my friends, the management is tolerant and always eager to help when required. It is an organized place where everyone works well together. Sometimes it can get so busy that your section will fill up in minutes, but with the experience I have I'm always able to keep up but if I were to ever find myself "in the weeds", I know there is always someone I can turn to for help.

This job was horrable. They would change shifts mid week and hold you accountable when you didnt shpw up for work. there was never a supervisor around when you need one and overall a evry poor plave to work

Enjoyable Place to Work

This company was a very enjoyable place to work, the employees got along very well and the company has competitive wages and positions. Unfortunately the management at this specific location were extremely unprofessional and often caused some of the workers to quit or become extremely emotional. The turnover rate was an extremely unattractive attribute of the company.
