There are some perks and benefits. However, they are fairly average compared to some other pharmaceutical companies. Also, the perks vary a lot across different departments. For example, people working at the same level can find a big difference in the annual bonus amount provided, depending upon the department in which you work. Some people get overtime pay, while others do not. This is confusing and unfair. The rates for compensation and perks/benefits should be streamlined so that all employees working at the same level receive exactly the same benefits.

The culture you experience depends very much on which site you work at, and the department that you are working in. However, overall there is a culture of people hiring family and friends at times. There is also a culture of promoting, and then protecting, favorites, instead of looking properly at an employee's track record, experience, and qualifications. This creates frustration among loyal, hard workers who have consistently gone the extra mile, and who are then denied any chance of promotion.

Stress is generated by some supervisors and managers pushing their subordinates too hard. At times this pressure is constant. It would appear that some people higher up in the organisation tolerate this because it makes the daily/weekly/monthly metrics look good. They now have 'white boards' all over the factory which employees have to regularly update with data to show the progress of everyone's jobs. Some of this information is definitely good and helps with transparency. But some of it adds little, if anything, to peoples jobs, and so taking time out to make the updates to the boards just wastes valuable time.
