DONT BOTHER WASTING YOUR TIME, NO LOA they sit you for days even weeks in a house packed with three beds to a room, I promise you stay away from this company. You sign a paper with them stating they will deduct 300 off your pay for there in house training which again is fake. Travel to and from site if you are working is 15hr and shop time is 15hr. If you wanna work for free give these guys a call
My journey with Apex Well Servicing has always been positive. Apex Well Servicing has a great on-boarding program which makes sure that the Team always is aware of what is offered and what is required. The compensation is always above Industry average. I know that the Oil and Gas Industry always has high's and low's but Apex always has projects for the Team to keep busy and make money when times are slow. I am lucky to have the opportunity to be apart of the Apex Well Servicing Team!
Training, RRSP Contribution Matching, Referral Programs
Heat and pressure is a good time, rod rigs are even better, never had any issue besides my attitude which was my own fault but they're always busy if you're willing to work
I’ve worked for previous fluid/heat transfer companies with much better pay and schedule. They only pay overtime after 110ish hours in a month. So when you are sitting for 7 months of the year, you aren’t making a dime. Started off at 30/hr with promises of making 35/hr once I was trained. Then when I was trained it was still 30/hr. Save your headaches and find somewhere else to work. The coworkers are good. The management isn’t horrible. But the pay/compensation and the amount of time you actually work..... it’s not worth it at all.
Coworkers, working in BC
Crew houses, always on call, never enough work.
Management team is nothing but yes men, Do not pay any travel or composition for base to base travel, crew houses are very crowded and require you to bunk with strangers you don't work with, even make you sleep in storage closets, pay minimum wage for shop time if you get payed for it, maintenance is none existent same as safety, lots of screaming, equipment is run down, save yourself some pain and suffering and try a real company
Don’t expect fair pay or compensation. 1 star company. When you’re working in -50 weather for 16 hours a day, they won’t recognize the actual hours you work, and they’ll pay you the minimum wage of $13.60 which they won’t tell you about upon hiring. Don’t make the same mistake I did. You’ll regret working for Apex. There’s much better companies/work in Alberta.
If you don’t like your home life, wife, friends and family; this is the job for you.
Long hours, minimum wage, hard work, away from home, uncompetitive wages, etc.
