Hours are unlimited and most often yield no reward.
You do set your own hours, but honestly even though you are working a lot of hours, much of it is done from your home or the car in preparing to meet clients.
My first year I worked 7 days per week to master my job and be successful. Now after two years I can accomplish the same amount of success in 3 days that took me 7 days when I was brand new in the position. I would always expect to put in more time in the learning phase of a new position to become good at it. Most of those comments are probably from someone not willing to put in the time.
There are still quotas to meet. You set your own appointments, but they make sure you're at the office booking those appointments unless you make enough money.
In order to have the results that you want. You will have to set a lot of your time aside for this job.
