Good if you’re not entry level
Started off very stressful. It’s a sink or swim type of learning process. Learn by doing. Learn by failing and improving. It get better as time goes on and you get to know the managers and leadership team. With so many people and personalities you won’t get along with everyone. There’s a lot of competition between sites and shifts to meet production numbers and that shows that it’s very competitive even if it means finding the flaws in your teammates and throwing someone under the bus to get ahead or look superior in the eyes of management. Some managers are collaborative and team players. Others believe they are superior to their subordinates. Safety is very important and they constantly look to improve on this. But as time goes on it definitely appears to be a do more with less which will always comprise safety other short term or long term. Pay is not bad depending on education and experience. Benefits are great. Work life balance does not exist. You’ll work extra. You’ll work nights and days. You don’t get much time off. Minimum standard for full time of 2 weeks. Have to work to earn extra time off and will not have an easy time using it without leaving team in bind. Since 90% of the people there are working for low pay and other have second jobs, they care less. Lots of minor injuries or pains occur as it’s manual labour at a fast pace. Since amazon is expanding so fast there is reason to believe a person can move up fast, but that could mean relocating. You’re also competing with others and if your manager isn’t going to stand up for you, you’ll more than likely -

People are treated like trash.
Long hours relentless "rates" for the associates to meet miserable work environment high turnover because people cant stand it low pay people get hurt constantly opportunities for advancement are few and far between and many higher positions are filled from external sources

-you are on your feet for 10-12 hours a day on every shift-you only work 4 days out the week thats good-pay and benefits are good-work life is fun keeping all your coworkers safe
