Poor mental health when working at this place
Returns Worker (Former Employee) - New Westminster, BC - 2 July 2022
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedExtremely over worked with poor pay. The workplace had me stressed all the time as the managers get mad even if you take 1 extra minute on break or more than 5 mins in the washroom.

Physical and monotonous
Sortation associate (Current Employee) - London, ON - 1 July 2022
Better jobs out there. Great benefits but the work is miserable. Managers are good but the job is what it is. Be careful of repetitive motions and straining your body. Would look elsewhere.

Not a fun place to work
Warehouse Associate (Former Employee) - Mississauga, ON - 30 June 2022
Long hours, have to be on your feet for almost 10 hours. Check-in and check-out time is always confusing. Work is good with great management but the pay scale is very low.
Pros
4 day in a week
Cons
Low pay

bad culture. Only a stepping stone
Software Developer (Former Employee) - Vancouver, BC - 30 June 2022
Pipping culture. Wouldn't recommend unless you don't have other options a percentage of people get pipped every year in other words they hire people with the intention of abusing and firing them if you think you can endure that and horrible hours for temporary until getting a better job then go for it, else stay away

Fun place to work
Associate (Former Employee) - Montréal, QC - 29 June 2022
A good place to work as the job is somewhat secured. Benefits are good but for the base pay. Room for advancement but inability to speak french in montreal will deter your progress unless you learn the language .

Amazon FC
Warehouse Associate (Current Employee) - Ajax, ON - 25 June 2022
The job is easy enough to understand it’s just you are doing one thing over and over for 10 hours it gets boring after a while plus there are tons of unnecessary Things like most of the bins are full but they still expect you to stow a certain number
Pros
2 breaks and 1 break is paid and insurance is amazing
Cons
Long hours

Terrible place to work
Warehouse Associate (Former Employee) - brampton ontario - 24 June 2022
Your not a human after you enter their doors. There is no workplace culture. You get TOT for going to the bathroom or taking too long to walk to grab lunch.
Pros
easy to get
Cons
hard work

Great Working There When You Need Money
Warehouse Order Picker / Interim Driver Trainer (Former Employee) - Calgary, AB - 23 June 2022
This is a great company to work for when you truly don't have any source of income and need to pay the bills. The work can be extremely hard and not the pay is not the greatest but it's okay for young people. I don't mind running for 10 hours with a cart and scanner but alot of the "Process Assistance" are just extremely mean to the pickers. I would go back there (my 7th time) if I had no other option even though I never lasted more that 6 weeks.
Pros
Stable work
Cons
Hard work, mean coworkers.

There's a reason Amazon hires ANYONE. The turnover is high. Don't bother being good at a task because it's never enough. Ever. My coworkers were cool
Pros

Too much work
Warehouse Associate (Current Employee) - Ajax, ON - 22 June 2022
No opportunity to advance and bad work and life balance. Management is also not that great. They won't let you stand ideal or let you relax for a minute in hard 10 hours shift except 2 breaks.

place was fun
Warehouse Associate/Order Picker (Former Employee) - Brampton, ON - 20 June 2022
it was a very fast pace place to work which sometimes makes it really difficult to cope up with and it had only 4 day work of 10 hours each which makes the 3 days off available.

Not as bad as they say!
Warehouse Associate (Former Employee) - Calgary, AB - 20 June 2022
Working at Amazon wasn't as bad as I'd heard. Maybe it was because my expectations were pretty low but I needed a job and the fact that there was no interview was really nice. If you need a job and expect to work for the 10 hours that you're there, it isn't too bad. Shifts went by quickly (would be better if they allowed a Bluetooth ear bud in one ear) and the work was honestly very easy for a warehouse job. Expect to be on your feet working all night or day but it isn't hard labour or anything. Pros: -Fair pay, a decent and an easy job where you can just put your head down and get it done. Most shifts are the same, you know what to expect. Lots of opportunities for overtime during peak season (christmas). -Good benefits if you get blue badge (permenant as opposed to seasonal) -If you're an introvert, you can easily just go in, work your shift, collect your paycheck with little social contact. -Opportunities are there to learn some new and valuable skills Cons: Favouritism and insanely competitive if you want to move up. Lots of "dangling carrots" of promotions that are actually very hard to get. If you want to move up, expect to be doing the work of a higher tier job without the pay for 6 months to a year.... -You definitely get a strong feeling that you're just a number. Very impersonal, its kind of weird. -HR is a mess if you need anything and "by the book" without any room for case by case basis and a lot of running in circles and it's common to recieve inaccurate information from the HR Associates. -Lots of encouragement to work harder for the reward of a "good -

Productive and fun workplace
Associate (Current Employee) - Vancouver, BC - 20 June 2022
It’s a good place to maintain work-life balance. Staff is very helpful and supportive. Higher management is approachable and cooperative. All the time managers will appreciate you for the day.

It's okay depending on who works there
Amazon Fulfillment Associate (Former Employee) - New Westminster, BC - 18 June 2022
Very fast paced environment. Be prepared to stand on your feet for 10 hours and have to work fast to make hourly quotas. My experience here wasn't terrible, just not for everybody.
Pros
2 breaks, lots of prizes, crazy discount + PTO
Cons
Long hours, no social life between shifts

Worst place to work
Joint Health and Safety Associate (Former Employee) - Delta, BC - 18 June 2022
Worst place to work. No work life balance during peak or prime. Forced to work 50-60 hours during peak. Unrealistic goals and targets. Unrealistic warnings to achieve target.

It’s a good place if you know what you want
Process Assistant (Former Employee) - New Westminster, BC - 16 June 2022
If you want to be a manager, prepare to steam roll your fellow employees and show the other managers you don’t care about your staff. If you want a job that all you have to do is show up and make rate, you may like it. If none of these apply to you, go anywhere else to find a job Your mental health will go down the toilet and the managers if you’re lucky enough to get a good one, do care but good luck
Pros
You have no issue being without work
Cons
Rate system, competitive

Not a good place to work. Modern slavery
Warehouse Associate (Former Employee) - Scarborough, ON - 16 June 2022
I did not like working at Amazon at all. Management and HR are horrible as they don't know what they're doing. The coworkers there love to gossip. The only good thing about Amazon was the flexibility during the slow months and the benefits were AMAZING!!
