Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedWorking as a sales associate at XYZ Corporation has been a rewarding experience. The company's commitment to a positive workplace culture, continuous learning, and competitive compensation makes it an excellent place for individuals looking to thrive in a sales-oriented role. Despite some challenges during peak periods, the supportive team environment and focus on employee development make XYZ Corporation a standout employer for sales professionals.

High stress, low reward
Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) - Toronto, ON - 28 November 2023
The job itself is what you'd expect from a call center customer service position - high stress, non-stop, and with very little to no breathing room. My location had a lot of favoritism from managers, micromanaging, as well as pressure to work overtime and not take sick leave when needed. They promote having a lot of room for growth and promotions, but I didn't see that reflected when I worked there.

Good temporary job, but leave ASAP.
Fulfillment Associate (Former Employee) - Hamilton, ON - 24 November 2023
Amazon's fine if you just need to have income coming in for a couple months, since you can just pretty much ignore everyone else and clock in and clock out. The longer you stay though, the longer you see all the unsavory stuff and it gets bad pretty quickly. Time off options are some of the better ones I've seen. But management sucks. The company just takes and takes and takes and no real recognition is given.

AZ Truck Driver (Former Employee) - Azilda, ON - 20 November 2023
1) It's H&M so depending on what you're looking for, could be a hit or miss. However, the items are fairly priced and offer choices for pieces of clothing that don't need to be overly expensive. The staff are friendly and helpful. Located within the Markville mall but very easy to spot and access. 2) Lots of new arrivals in store!! Some winter sales in store too !! Friendly staff at the register with a smile , which is a bonus for any retail stores !! 3) Good prices, great variety, staff is very helpful. I was glad to find clothes that actually fit me.

Great to work on your own time
Third Party Seller (Current Employee) - Mississauga, ON - 19 November 2023
It's great. Source, list, sell. It's great to own your own business especially through a platform such as Amazon. I'm working with different retailers to source products and sell it on Amazon.

It is a hard work. Not everyone can do. Culture is bad.
Associate level 1 (Former Employee) - Delta, BC - 11 November 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? The best part is I accepted the challenge. It made me grow and see different perspective. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? If you perform well on the task given, everyone rely on you with no help or support. Specially during peak season. There is a racial thing going on during my time there and favouritism. If you are not part of a certain group, they just ignore you. Team work dont exist. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? You are on foot the whole shift. Culture is so bad. What is a typical day like for you at the company? Fork lift driver. Loading and unloading pallets from the trailer.

Warehouse Associate (Former Employee) - Hamilton, ON - 3 November 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? 4 10hr shifts a week and 3 days off What is the most stressful part about working at the company? They hire you no questions but will fire you and not let you speak to anyone or give u a reason why. They just terminate your badge so you're unable to get into the warehouse. If you ask to speak with HR they'll tell you no, or to call a number and those people will NOT help you either. It happened to many ppl when I worked there and never thought It would happen to me because I got told almost daily how good of a job I was doing and my productivity was through the roof. Them boom. Fired without reason. Appealed the decision. It took 4 months. They spoke to me for literally 48 seconds then rushed me off the phone cuz they couldn't give me a reason as to why I was fired. Got an email saying their decision stands. Great work environment but terrible people running the show What is the work environment and culture like at the company? It's all Indians. If you're not brown you're getting fired. No joke What is a typical day like for you at the company? I stowed products that were brought to me by the robots which were really cool

Amazon Fulfillment Associate (Former Employee) - Hamilton, ON - 1 November 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? Great benefits that start on your first day of employment. Easy assignments and great leadership members that offer help and encouragement. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Maintaining the QPI rating each shift, adhering to the attendance policy. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Very loud inside the building, ear protection is provided. Loads of fun events throughout the year. Lots of opportunities for cross-training into other jobs. What is a typical day like for you at the company? Start the day with a group meeting, stretches to get ready for working the line, receive your workstation assignment. Fast pace from start of shift to end. Standing always for 10 hours. 2 breaks (one unpaid, one paid) of 30 minutes each.

Productive and sometimes can be a fun place to work; made good friends their
Picker (Former Employee) - Hamilton, ON - 1 November 2023
Start your day off with a daily exercise routine (stretches) and review safety procedures before starting work. It's a great idea! Trying to prevent injuries in the workplace and we get inspired towards a healthier everyday living (culture). Amazon believes in helping others - getting involved in special events and charity causes. The hardest part of the job is the physical repetitive movements. Hard on the knees and back at time (depending on the job you have) . Management needs improvement in the way they act with their employees (e.g. favouritism) and especially, when it comes time to promote or encourage employees that want to be there. Employees that have worked the full 3 month probation period should GET a blue badge! I worked really hard for 7 months and never got my white badge. THIS WAS THE MAIN reason why I did not stay there. The most enjoyable part of the job was meeting really good people from diverse backgrounds, who were interesting and fun coworkers. It made me want to go to work. I also enjoyed the discounts and special events that Amazon occasionally had.
Pros
Benefits when they give them to you (white badge); 10hr, 4 day wk; special events
Cons
management follow through, when you have a blue badge and want to get the white badge, (after working hard for 7 months and asking for the white badge)

Challenging and Fast Paced
SDE I (Current Employee) - Vancouver, BC - 29 October 2023
Amazon has a lot of challenging work with many different problem domains. It's extremely fast paced and every is busy - sometimes, I don't even have time to read emails! To be successful here, you would definitely have to be a self-driven individual that can handle multi-tasking. That said, there is a lot to learn; although, more so on navigating a big company's politics rather than technical skills.

What is the best part of working at the company? Getting paid weekly and being able to see your pay and schedule using an app. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Picking orders for 10 hours with only a 30 minute break was very stressful. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? The work environment is very diverse and social. What is a typical day like for you at the company? Smooth, steady, busy and you can at least socialize while working.

Productive and beneficial, good work within some areas
Warehouse Associate (Former Employee) - 6351 Steeles Ave E, Scarborough; 789 Salem Rd N, Ajax - 23 October 2023
A typical work day is arriving to work on time with your game face and ready to work. I believe with the right attitude and dedication you can achieve what you want and have a good time. The management is always there to help and encourage with anything and they do put in the effort. Workplace culture in uplifting, everybody supports each other, communicates and works as a team when the help is needed. The hardest part of the job can actually be commuting to and from work if there is no reliable form of transportation. Rest is also a key feature of working there also. In the end, the most enjoyable part of working for Amazon can be the people you meet because they leave a lasting impression which is like most jobs that you work for over a prolonged period, but with Amazon your colleagues actually are great people to work with.
Pros
people, attitude, friendliness, cooperative, benefits, pay, safety
Cons
people, work load, time, commute
