Enjoyable Early on but Grueling Pace Long-term

Indeed featured review

The most useful review selected by Indeed
Large quantity of parcels, some heavier than imagined. It's a struggle to deliver them safely and quickly.A day consists of: Loading up at the warehouse, driving your cube van to deliver, then returning to the warehouse to check out. The routes are very large sometimes. Drivers rarely get their promised breaks. Workload is 180-260+ parcels/day. Finding a good DSP helps, but doesn't solve the route of the problem, which is Amazon's unrealistic delivery targets and pressure on front line workers/drivers.

Pros

Independence, health benefits, performance incentives

Cons

Long hours, shift variance, Few breaks/no paid lunch, unsafe, poor culture

This is a great job!!

This is a great job that if you want to carry 280+ parcels/day and get on & off your Van in 199 times/day, then you will fit in this job. Otherwise, do not waste your time here because you won't be treated as a HUMAN.

Pros

Get your air mile points by filling up gas everyday

Cons

You will not be treated as a HUMAN

Most mismanaged company

You would figure, being the richest man in the world, with the biggest Logistics company in the world, you figure they would do research on Alberta winters. New facilities-no car plug ins for winter! 1st Duh!, Expect to drive a rear wheel light van with half worn all season tires! 2nd Duh! It gets dark in winter at 4:30pm. But we start delivery at 11:00am. 3rd Duh!. The level of ignorance is at is finest. Maybe do some research on the different seasons before you jump into a country with your pants down because that's exactly what happened. Sheer and utter assininity.

Pros

Nothing

Cons

Everything
