Project Coordinator, Geomatics (Former Employee) – Edmonton, AB – 29 October 2018
Your day at work will generally be office-oriented, but being able to work long days in the field is a must. Friendly staff, excellent field pay. Use ArcGIS and in-house applications to complete work tasks. I found that the workplace culture is quite clicky, and hard to break into as most of the employees have worked with each other in the past at different companies. They have a wealth of knowledge and help is not too far away. Management is considerate of your needs and will work with you to see that they are met.

I'm the type of worker who doesn't want someone looking over my shoulder all day and Altus is definitely the type of company that does not do that! They are very flexible about working from home and hours, as long as you get your work done. I finally feel like I'm being treated like an adult in a workplace!!

Administrative Assistant (Current Employee) – Calgary, AB – 5 August 2013
Overall, the company is great & the people are great. However, there is a lack of communication & team effort between the consultants and the administrative team. This creates a tense work environment & a lot of office "politics" that are not nessessary.
