Rushed Training; Employee concerns overlooked
I hadn't been trained to use any of the equipment while working there, aswell as any employee safety wasn't considered (having to do security work despite being a Janitor). Overall the tasks I was left with were pretty easy but I feel like I could of done more given the proper training.

The two star rating is basically a shoutout to some of the good people still working there. One of the potential disadvantages of working for a family business is that you might have an unqualified family member in management position(s). With any luck, they are self aware of their lack of knowledge in certain areas and trust their employees enough to make the right decisions. Unfortunately, my experience at Alpine was not positive. Working under a self proclaimed “micromanager”, my time was often spent doing time-wasting activities that continually needed to be repeated because of lack of retention on their part. Despite many queries to HR about being put under a different manager, nothing ever materialized.Employee turnover rate was high at HO, and with many talented people exiting (and in many cases not replaced), the workplace atmosphere became more stressful due to increased workloads.I accepted a lower starting salary than I was used to, with the hope that the company would look at my body of work and eventually pay comparable rates to jobs being offered in the area. Regrettably, it turned into a bartering session with my manager. Their stance was to try and rationalize the reasons why you are worth considerably less than the comps, while still not comprehending my scope of work. Positives? There were definitely things that you’d never see in any other work environment, which made it kind of interesting.

Worst company i have ever worked for
This place is a joke. Didn't train their supervisor to be in a leadership position. Wasn't allowed to go to management with any concerns about the supervisor. Promised benefits and then never provided them. Told you not to discuss wages with other employees because they were all being paid differently. Added more and more tasks but didn't give you the extra time needed to get everything done. All around a terrible company run by terrible people
