Great place to work if you like being micromanaged!
Service Manager (Current Employee) - Ottawa, ON - 11 September 2023
The biggest challenge is dealing with the upper management's unrealistic expectations. The company's owner has no clue how the automotive industry works and only cares for his pocket, no the employees. Toxic environment all around. Could be good if you are looking for a career start in the automotive dealership, but please note that there is no job security there. Incompetency is everywhere, top to bottom, because that's what Alpha Group can afford as they don't pay well.
Pros
Keeps you away from home if you are not in good terms with your spouse/family.
Cons
It is not going to last long as there is a big turnover

Terrible and cheap company

Run for the hills. It is a cheap and terrible company to work for. They only care about money, and will fire you without any hesitation even if you have worked for the company for 20+ years. They will replace the senior staff with in experienced juniors just so that they can pay them less. It’s a revolving door of management staff.

None. Just flat out cheap company.

Worked at one store and did not like the environment. Switched stores and wow what a difference. It’s really the people that make the environment. Some people need to change their attitudes and work together

Fairly easy to make money, nobody else works…

Some techs complaining they don’t make money but they don’t work.. I come in and focus on fixing cars. Easy to make a paycheck. Especially when nobody else is working
