Bad management that cannot be trusted
technical writer (Former Employee) –  Waukesha, WI26 December 2018
If management at Almon had brains, they sure did not show it. Also, they cannot be trusted. If there is a good review of Almon on this site, just know that someone in management wrote it, so ignore the good reviews (which are not legit reviews and not to be trusted) to get an accurate picture of this place.

No room for advancement
Technical OM Writer (Former Employee) –  Waukesha, WI10 March 2017
Company is willing to hire to fill seats and meet quotas. No room for advancement at all. Not enough for to give raises. Benefits are costly. Open door policy is not as claimed to be. Retaliation for speakong up for fellow employees is critisized by management.
Pros
Get to work with some good John Deere employees.
Cons
No advancements available. No true open door policy.

Great flexibility
Technical Author (Former Employee) –  Waterloo, IA6 February 2017
This company really excels at work/life balance. I never felt over-worked or overwhelmed. The job security is definitely a plus; however, there aren't as many advancement opportunities as some other companies.
Pros
Flexability and balanced
Cons
Harder to advance

Was a good company to work for
Central Office Technician (Former Employee) –  Over, ENG22 April 2015
Did their training school in Kalispell.
They sent me to my first job in Fresno CA.
Kept me working for the most part and was very helpful in placing me and keeping me updated in training.
Was my own management on job. Co-workers, we traveled together. Some jobs I had new workers when they sent me somewhere else.
Being away from home was the hardest part of the job.
Powering up the equipment and having it work smoothly.
Pros
The pay scale
Cons
being away from home
