Helping and making a change in lives
Everyone who works here knows our product really works. The feeling of helping someone with Osteoporosis is both thrilling and rewarding.Company provides a great space with top of the line gear for work, and is even renovating a new office in the future. Lots of team events and outings to get to know the team and leaders better. And free home made lunches from our own in house chef.Work can be gruelling sometimes, but the company is growing fast and stronger every day. There are mistakes that happen but its pretty normal for any company at this stage.

Customer-focused, Great Work Culture and an Awesome Place to Build a Career
ProsThe company truly pays attention to personal growth and development - my managers care about my area of interest and continue to support me wherever possible. An excellent working culture that promotes genuineness and transparency. Great benefits include team lunches and company trips. We can even take our furry friends to work!ConsNothing in particular, except maybe gaining weight from all the delicious team lunches and birthday celebrations!

Best company I've worked for
My experience with AlgaeCal has been amazing, at the beginning I thought that working from home was going to be hard for communication but fortunately I have an amazing manager and she was amazing as a trainer and more awesome as a manager/lead. I talk with other team members very often, and every time everyone is incredibly nice and more than willing to help me and guide me even when they are busy with their own work. I took the role to train a new team member when she joined the company, my lead provided guidance but she mostly allowed me to do it on my own which for me it’s appreciated since it allowed me to have a little bit of understanding of what it means to lead someone else. I don’t have any complaints, it’s true that it gets pretty busy sometimes (talking about my department) but I’ve always received help when I need it, I really like that our own judgment and also learning from mistakes it’s encouraged, so far I’ve always received real feedback from my leads, I have health benefits and gifts on my birthday and holidays and I feel genuinely appreciated here so I think I don’t have anything to say in terms of improvements since for me, my remote experience, has been amazing I completely recommend working for this company.

Fast growing company, solid culture, and amazing team members
The most hardworking teammates you will find, newest technology from Apple, weekly (health oriented) team lunches, and a very flexible health benefit after probation. HR team goes out of their way to create inclusive events for everyone including remote workers. Wins are celebrated across the company and you really feel a part of the family.

Micromanaging, toxic, unprofessional management
Poor, unprofessional management, who micromanages everyone and induces a toxic environment, pressure and paranoia. Comes from the CEO and COO, who control everything and make very harsh, immature decisions. They promote a 'great culture' but that is just a fake facade, based on business or self improvement books, to filter anybody who questions management or how things are ran The product itself is great, get to use new MACs, a lovely cook who feeds everyone and you will meet some really nice people there but the management and the way the business is ran is atrocious. You are under paid, overworked and the expectations and demand are so high and unreasonable. The COO and management in operations are incredibly unprofessional, under-qualified, immature and endanger the future of people's careers at the company. Unless you work in marketing then you won't be deemed as valuable, just another pawn in their money making, which they won't invest in you. My time there was hugely disappointing, demoralizing and I was fed lies along the way, and watched some talented people get walked all over.
