Very professional investment company in which I can learn a lot
Got opportunities to work on both daily operation and projects. Learned a lot for investment strategies in various asset classes and products. Managers are very open to discuss with me.

Culture and innovation are considered important
In my time working for AIMCo, Culture has always been top of mind. It has been reported that some departments, in BT, have poor culture, although I didn't see it myself. Because of the, the management go through training, and culture is improving. The only problems going on in AIMCo are the workload is high, and much is done after hours and on weekends. The pay is really good if you include the massive bonuses, but don't expect to relax there.

Productive and fun workplace. Really enjoyed my time
A good place to start and grow your career. Ability to learn on the job while completing assigned task. Good management support. Employees treat each order with respect.

AIMCo has gone down
They focus on hiring within alberta these days. Not worth joining them from across the country as mostly locals are put in charge. Ceo is decent but Cio and his leaders have this mentality

Intern, Investment Risk
• Executed daily risk reports and analyzed large risk movements for investment portfolios • Researched key factors and regulations of liquidity risk and designed a preliminary liquidity risk report • Achieved an in-depth understanding of risk modeling by comparing differences between two risk systems and presented conclusive findings to senior managers • Utilized SQL and VBA to perform data reconciliation and data validation
