Ramp Supervisor (Former Employee) –  San Jose, CA2 July 2012
If you like being around planes, this is definitely be the place to be. Pay isn't that great, neither are the benefits.

Do not work at yvr
Ramp Agent & Crew Chief (Former Employee) –  Richmond, BC19 April 2018
ATS at YVR is the worst place to work. No breaks because of back to back to back flights. They'll work you into the ground your whole shift, 5 days a week and then have the audacity to ask you to stay late (or force you, cause thats hidden in the contract). Plus they'll pester you non stop on your weekends. They are completely under staffed because everyone quits because of the work conditions. If you want to spend 9 hours a day in the pouring rain with no breaks, throwing and lifting bags in a confined space, then this is for you... It is not worth the pay... Most of the managers and supervisors just sit around all day barking orders and won't go help when it's really needed. Only nice thing about ATS at YVR is the new equipment. ATS at YVR only services Westjet, who keep adding more and more flights. Quite common for aircraft to sit at the gate because the crew is stuck on other flights. Absolute worst experience as a ramp agent/crew chief. Every other company at YVR is 100% better and worth the pay cut. If you want to work on the ramp at YVR, go elsewhere.
