Very judging and clique'ish

Long time employees are not helpful and talk bad about you. They are mean and untrustworthy. Good luck bidding for fun flights and over nights as they go to seniors. Not fun at all. Job itself is fantastic, co-workers not so much. Plus cost of living, you definitely need second job.

Chieftain Energy division

Run away from Air North fuel division Chieftain Energy. Trucks and trailers are mostly old equipment always in need of repair, run without permits, they have a lack of training for new drivers, they have favorites they cater too. Just a bad company. Thought they would be decent being owned by air north, but they aren't.

Pros

Pay is good, cheap flights.

Cons

Management lies, old equipment

Just a summer job.

Safety takes a backseat to productivity. New staff are not properly trained before asked to do potentially dangerous tasks like operating heavy machinery around aircraft and refuelling pits. Management from Whitehorse and Vancouver bully the employees. Bring up too many issues with safety practices the company is willfully bypassing will guarantee your departure from the job.

Pros

Flight benefits

Cons

Can’t afford to use them.

Fast-paced environment but lots of opportunity

Great place to work. Very busy and can be stressful but lots of room for advancement if you work hard and show your commitment. Benefits are great, especially for those who want to travel.

Easy going and Good work culture

manage flight schedules and service flights accordingly. however, the job requires ongoing training modules and tests for security clearance. Perfect summer job.

All the good ones quit

Many lazy individuals. Management doesn’t care to work with you and your schedule I worked with some great people but they all quit. “They good ones always do” heard from other on my first week there. The HR dept doesn’t really have HR training and kinda does a lot of unorthodox things.

Great Company

It is a great company to work at if you are young and physical fit. The management is always looking out for you and there is normally tons of hours of work available.
