Not the worst company to work for
General Labourer (Current Employee) - Winnipeg, MB - 5 February 2018
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedNot the worst company to work for. Could do a better deal with wage from client to staff ratio. They could provide more regular work as there are long lulls between good assignments.
Pros
Work when you want
Cons
lull between work

I was warned Temp Agencies have a bad reputation, but Agilus took great care of their workers.
Temporary Labourer (Former Employee) - Windsor, ON - 24 February 2022
Being that i was looking for work in the middle of a pandemic and no hope id find a position quick, my Agilus HR Representative had great communication with me and guaranteed me stability in my position or forward me to another Rep to set me up with something more fitting. I always had a job no matter my circumstance. That stability and familiarity meant everything. Their HR Reps really are looking for your best interest.
Pros
Great communication with human resource reps, guaranteed work
Cons
likely only guaranteed general labour positions, HR has NO idea what it is actually like in the facilities so the agency's orientation is very vague, makes it hard to gauge what to expect, contracts are long, low rate of hiring on

Company has bad reputation...
General Laborer (Current Employee) - Windsor, ON - 22 February 2018
You cannot rely on this company. They gossip about employees with temps and vise-versa. No integrity-they don't come out at explain things to you. They are not trustworthy.
Cons
many mistakes about placements, hours and wage is worst

Do not care about their employees
General Labourer (Former Employee) - Windsor, ON - 4 January 2018
As an employee you're disposable for lucas work and they do not care how long you have worked for the company or what your situation might be, if they want to let you go, they will let you go without any consequences. If you work midnights, you're stuck there. they will tell you to start at midnights and you'll be moved to days but that never happens.
Pros
easily find a job
Cons
not secure

Bad jobs

Wasn't really given much work. Bad placements when they did find me work except 1! Nice people in the office, really nice to hear voices from recruiters.

Freedom to do my best
Temporary Labourer (Current Employee) - Winnipeg, MB - 10 April 2017
Sometimes it's hard to be a minority in a blue collar work environment. Talentcor is different from every other agency because they understand this. I'm an excellent worker and get good reviews from the clients. But sometimes the clients' employees are not satisfied with my contributions. I know that if I have a problem I can talk to my recruiter and they will find some sort of solution. Talentcor has my back, and for that I do my best for them and for the client every time. Their support and understanding gives me the freedom to do my best, exceed expectations, and make a positive contribution to the realization of the clients' goals. Do a good job and they will treat you good. That's all there is to it.
Pros
Respect, availability of work, variety of clients
Cons
Forklift trainer "...will only pass you if I lilke you. If you don't like you, you don't get your license."

bad place of work
General Labourer (Former Employee) - Tillsonburg, ON - 29 March 2017
typical temp agency, little to no chance of full time employment, management is not very nice to temp workers, repetitive work place, long hours, and a overall sense of unwelcome in the workplace.
Pros
none
Cons
long hours, repetitive, management is awful, no chance of full time positions.

what i learned
General Labourer (Former Employee) - Windsor, ON - 7 December 2016
I learned that if you injure yourself on the job it leads to you losing your job and I think the hardest park was waking up at 5 am to be there for 6 am
Pros
was making 13.50
Cons
lost my job because of an injury

Talentcor
Laborer (Former Employee) - London, ON - 2 April 2016
The people were very nice and well informed and handled me very well. I learned that quantity and quality can be attained. I milled a key slot into a lifter and assembled the pin and roller. I also did quality assurance on the parts before packing them for shipment. The management was in my opinion was old school and not unattainable, more like a boys club. The hardest part about my job was to set up the mill so the parts would pass the quality checks. My co-workers were the best and i always worked well with them as part of the team. I mostly enjoyed going to work as i enjoy working.
Pros
It was close to home
Cons
Rules

productive workplace, fast paced,
General Labourer (Current Employee) - Windsor, ON - 18 March 2016
At my last contracted position I enjoyed the people I worked with. I kept busy and motivated during the entire shift. I was informed by the supervisors at the plant when and if i achieved daily quotas and encouraged to maintain my work ethics.
Pros
Maintained family life due to rotating shifts
Cons
takes long time if and when hired full time

it was over all good
General Labourer (Current Employee) - Richmond, BC - 16 March 2016
I was working in different places every week and that keeps things interesting and I would learn new skills. the only down side was the drive to work was 2.5 hours each day and that's a bit much

Great people and lots learned in a short time.
Team Member/General Laborer (Former Employee) - Lakeshore, ON - 31 December 2015
I worked from 10pm to 6am in a factory setting doing general labourer jobs. It was a fast-paced atmosphere and I learned quickly how to keep working and to effectively keep busy all night. I enjoyed working with my co-workers and we helped each other out to make each job enjoyable and rewarding. The hardest part of my job was performing each task quickly as well as accurately. The most enjoyable part of the job was working nights, being able to wear comfortable clothes and the ability to get my job done independently and to be able to approach the management when I needed assistance. Everyone was so nice.
Pros
being able to be paid for all shift, including breaks.

Wouldn't recommend
General labourer (Current Employee) - Tecumseh ontario - 10 June 2015
Lucas works was very helpful in getting me at my job (TRQSS) and they were very quick to answer emails or phone calls and were very friendly. Although, when a company is getting paid an hourly rate of your hard earned money to just do those things it isn't enough. Contracts through my company were expected around the year mark and when asked by Lucas works employees what was taking so long as it had been over a year that we were there we received no answer. The team at Lucas works is out for your money but not to be your advocate. Speaking specifically of TRQSS temps there have been temp agencies that pulled away for the reason that the temps were treated unfairly and not given the right opportunities but Lucas Works doesn't seem to care about that. This has been a very discouraging process and many people have quit and gone elsewhere where this company was not involved.
Pros
Quick responses
Cons
They will NEVER be your advocate, don't extend vacation after a year
