Casual hours
Private Investigator (Current Employee) - Edmonton, AB - 28 January 2022
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedAFIMAC is a decent company to work for. I struggled with the lack of communication unless they need you. All that said, for the most part, I enjoy working with them. All decent people.
Pros
Fair pay
Cons
Long hours to be expected in this industry. If you expect 9-5, you're in the wrong place.

Not worth your time
Private Investigator (Former Employee) - Windsor, ON - 21 June 2022
This company is not worth your time. The workplace is very toxic and all comes from the owners. If you wanna be happy then stay away from this employer.
Pros
cant find anything good
Cons

Looks good on paper
Private Investigator (Former Employee) - Windsor, ON - 21 June 2022
It all looks good on paper but its just a toxic environment with incompetent owner that is more worried about playing with their toys in the car then watching their business. Dont hire Elite security they are a bunch of amateurs.
Pros
nothing good to say
Cons
long hours low pay

Excellent Company
Close Protection (Current Employee) - Greater Toronto Area, ON - 29 August 2021
Excellent company. The manager of the close protection division is a great guy and actually cares about his employees. One of the best companies I have ever worked for. My co-workers are excellent, I would recommend for anyone looking to get into the security field.

Loved traveling all over Canada
Security Guard (Former Employee) - Ontario - 23 November 2019
Management not well organized. Lost my job because I missed one assignment.
Which at no fault of my own. Training is rushed and you are then put right on the job.

Engineering
Power Engineer (Former Employee) - NL - 13 May 2019
If it's part-time work you want with good living setup and no long term commitment this is an excellent way to go. I would recommend giving it a try, it worked well for me and I will do it again anytime. Pay is slightly low for regular hrs but when you figure in the extra time at OT it not bad all things considered.
Pros
Good for short term infrequent employment
Cons
For the environment pay is a little low.

Not as great as the ad says
Disaster and Crisis Response (Current Employee) - Milton, ON - 14 April 2019
You may travel if you're lucky you need to be lucky enough to get enough hours for EI to make it a real long term job. Pay isn't the greatest hourly but when you work you make it on mostly overtime hours.
Pros
Travel all over Canada if lucky
Cons
Unpredictable, no scheduled shifts, could be off work for months

Toxic
Professional Security Officer (Former Employee) - London, ON - 10 November 2018
Coworkers removed from site without warning, horrible HR & management, unreasonable expectations for consistent last minute shifts, and the company will turn their backs at the first opportunity. Stay away.
Pros
Pay
Cons
Management

Fast pace and entertaining environment
Security Officer (Current Employee) - Mississauga, ON - 2 February 2017
I have been with this company for 6 years now and the employees are amazing. My duties are access control and handling cargo and live animals that leave the airport. Everyday is different and there is always something entertaining you see.
