Lot of opportunity to learn, that is why I did not mind getting lesser salary on starting the job here. There is no rush to complete an assignment as it is not a production line.
Company culture has changed over the last year.
Examples
Company's removed the polishing area and all material is grinder and polished beside the welders metal dust and grinding everywhere.
Every week owner is moving around tables, racks supplies and thats an issue when you come in on Monday and find your areas been moved over the weekend without any notice .
Always looking for your tool box or parts that were left on your table all moved.
90% of tools are from China or Canadian tire
Half the company is from temp agencies
Pros
take as many days off no one really cares
Cons
overall work environment
Good company to work for. Fast pasted but operator is allowed to time necessary to make correct changes to machine before proceeding to next job.
Get used to all UL and NSF standards and learned about the unique food service industry. Really helpful in building a strong carrier profile. Have learned a lot while working with the sheet metal industry and gained a lot of experience in the same. Also developed skills in rendering. Management was really supportive, inspiring and helpful. Always supportive in learning and developing skills in new areas of designing industry. It was an enjoyable and fun working at Aerowerks.
