Not bad, not good

Youll get thrown around a few different projects with no say in the matter. While the staff is friendly and the managment is nice, youll often be left high and dry.

Good work environment, horrible clients

Company itself is great but make sure to read the contract in GREAT detail , it’s on me but I didn’t know when I signed up I was agreeing to have my original schedule of 9am -5pm “flexed” to 8:30am - 7:30pm on overtime for the entirety of me working there. Also you get timed on your bathroom breaks lol.

Good pay and excellent training

They provided a very good quality training which was also paid. The only problem was that the expectation is very unrealistic and tiring. You have only 60 seconds between calls and calls are almost always back to back from the moment you start your shift

Extremely fast-paced call center

Training is complicated and when entering the field it is hard to apply things that learned in training sessions. The most challenging part is to handle two chats at the same time. Very stressful overall.

Coaching help if needed

A typical day at working is answering the customer calling and helping with their needs.Hardest part of the job is to get talk-a-tive customers off the calls. Most enjoyable part of the job is co-workers.

Pros

bonus and insurance

Cons

long way to drive to work

Terrible

Worst job Ive ever had. Only reason I stayed was work from home during a pandemic. People calling in are flipping out irate angry. The system is horrific so everyone calling in has waited on hold listening to prompts for literally 20 minutes minimum, so no matter if they called in happy when they get to talk to you they are very mad. Management is horrible , the company feels like it's working against you at every turn. The hours are horrible and you will have no life outside answering angry calls. You will not have a single weekend off for years there. Truly horrible in every single way I could imagine other than work at home during pandemic.

Is great for people that love office work. No more remote job.

Is good you have some sort of support, when you need it but the job is demanding. Call job is not an easy as it sound. In the midst of support you are also expected to do more than expected.

Good until you get permanent

Management isn't great, shifts are promised based on merit however just because you meet all quotas does not mean you will get a desired shift. Benefits are only thing that kept me.

Pros

Benefits are amazing, pay is pretty good too

Cons

Long hours, stressful, no work life balance

Competitive pay and some nice extras

Competitive pay and some nice extras. I have nothing bad to say about the company itself or the job I was doing, it just wasn’t for me. The paid training was nice, I was able to see if I wanted to continue the job while getting paid.

44 hour work week

Schedule changes frequently even after a shift bid due to high call volume because of issues with client’s billing system. Processes do not support customer. Issues with billing were not resolved in a timely manner. Tools do not work well.

Pros

Supportive management

Cons

Flex time

They don’t really want to hire you

You are hired on a six month contract so no benefits. They except you to participate in their “social “ activities. If you don’t they don’t keep you around. They will renew your contract for another six months, still no benefits. My class of 23 2 were hired after the first 6 months. Most of the rest of us were cut.

Pros

They do feed you periodically

Cons

The job sucks

Fantastic place to work but..

I loved the job, coworkers and overall environment. The pay was about a dollar above industry standard, and shifts were like any centre - through bids. I only left due to my husband's relocation but also got sick and used my group insurance. I thought I left on excellent terms, but I believe they won't rehire me simply due to the health issue I had. It's a shame, really. Great peopleGreat placeLoved the jobDon't get hospitalized.

Pros

I genuinely loved everything

Cons

You're rushed

Great trainers and Management

Professional environment Great training programSupportive managers/Human ResourcesMy contract ended but i really enjoyed the job. High possibility of staying on with them as contracts can be extended often by the client. Hours were very good and fair for most part. No weekends with my contract as I was fulltime. However, there are other clients that part timers worked for on weekends, and evenings.

Pros

Spacious desk area, Great team trainers, and managers..Complimentary coffee, tea, hot chocolate

Cons

Alot of constant talking/Call center work/ Mentally draining at times

Don’t go

No help from a actual person had to call coaching for help Work shift were crazy Dr App are a no no or any other appointments Not guaranteed a job after 6 months No medical at all when you are on a contract they just keep renewing it no stability or security working here Some upper staff members are stuck up Good luck you will need it

Free coffee and tea

Not a permanent job, contract only Nice people, but very long hours and work load was over whelming at time, unable to get any personal time for appointments or other things

Not too shabby

constantly understaffed, all employees are flexed to 44 hrs weekly. Some employees get by on the bare minimum, and then you have to fix their mistakes. Good benefits, casual dress, paid lunches sometimes, and great open door policy.

call center life

Management does not know the ins and outs of the job and is not able to assist with questions you are always working overtime whether you want to or not and have no choice in the matter

Pros

co workers

Cons

Vulontold overtime

This company treated me horribly at the end.

I was actually contracted to work for Accenture, even though I applied for both the contract position and the one directly through Accenture. For those who don't know, this is a tactic Accenture uses to drum up more applications (since they show up under a different company name) and avoid having to pay out benefits or adhere to labour laws set out for a regular employee. I know this information is publicly available, because I asked about it before I signed my contract, and they told me. You can be terminated with no notice, they do not have to pay a minimum three hours if you go home sick, andat the end of the contract, they don't have to take you on as permanent if they decide to keep you. They can EXTEND your contract for up to another six months, meaning six more months of grinding to meet the stats and fearing for your job (they drop people like crazy) and six more months of no benefits or job security. What they did to me and other contracted workers though is even worse. It was still several weeks before our set contract end date, and we still hadn't received notice as to whether we'd be extended. Instead, Accenture waited until my day off to contact our contractor, tell them our contract was ended effective immediately, and that we were not permitted to call or even visit the office for our belongings. I live ten minutes away and they mailed me my things. As far as actual work life at Accenture, it was actually better than most contact centers. The management was great. Very supportive, encouraging etc. But that support and encouragement came at a high cost, -

Pros

Lots of free food, good management

Cons

See above, there's a big one

Long hours, few rewards

Accenture, at the location I worked, was an extremely busy environment. The client I worked for was based out of Toronto and had a very high call volume. Your shifts and hours are often 'flexed' up to 44.5 hours a week to accommodate high call volumes- which makes your daily time spent away from the home up to about 10 hours a day. The wages are not as competitive as they should be in this field. The amount of work asked of the employees is a lot compared to the salary. Shifts are competitive. Not much ability to move up in the ranks.

Pros

Occasional free food, get your own desk

Cons

Long hours, not much flexibility

Great place to work

So far I really like it. The support there is amazing, They want you to succeed. IF you are dealing with personal issues, they are so understanding, you just need to talk to them. They do not nickel and dime you on your hours, so if you are scheduled for 40 hours a week ( after 30 minute lunch) and you do not call in sick or leave early you will get paid for a full 40 hours. The negative part is when you are hired, its as a contract, which means no benefits, or paid sick days until you hired permanently. Which can take approximately 6 months. However once you are permanent, you get paid sick days, vacation, great benefits, you can bank hours, and use them towards extra vacation shift bids every month, so you have the same schedule for a full month. Always have 2 days off in a row.

Pros

lots of free food, free coffee, tea and hot chocolate in the kitchen

Cons

hours can change often
