Very unprofessional and low pay

Self Employed Owner/Operator (Former Employee) - Mississauga, ON - 25 June 2023

I wirked there for over 6 weeks with 8-9 hours Monday to friday and my pay was NEVER over $900 for the week. My gas for the week cost $550! I have a sprinter van! I told them I could not continue at that low pay and they responded by HOLDING my last two paycheques for 30 days. Very bad and unprofessional in my opinion and I would not recommend anyone apply there. If you do, good luck!

The reason why this broker made such low commissions is he only showed up 2 to 3 days per week. When he did show up, it was later in the morning when all of the good paying calls were already taken by the more eager and professional brokers. Regarding holding his commissions, this broker did not provide the required 30 days notice for terminating the contract (standard in the industry) and the agreement stipulated that AAA Express could holdback the remaining commissions for up to 30 days.There is a good reason why we have been in business for over 50 years, so ignore this former broker's negative review.

I started my contract driving a mini van with AAA Express over 3 months ago and it has been great. The work is steady since they are an essential service. Would highly recommend.

Learning the ropes makes the job alot easier

I had experience prior to AAA Express but once i learned how to do the paperwork its been a walk in the park. The front office staff is very accommodating. One tip i can offer is make sure you have your proper documents for driving so that you are able to start right away. The dispatchers are really easy to work with as well. I enjoy courier work and its been the right fit for me.

First week and it's has been great. Can't give a 5 star due to how premature it has been, but no complaints thus far. Dispatchers are great and friendly and the overall staff is nice.
