Alright place

Indeed featured review

Not a bad place to work, could be better but not bad at all. Pay could be better, benefits are mediocre. Expect flat out employees, but have little work to go around.

Disorganized management

Wildly disorganized management, to the point of arriving on site and not knowing if you are day or night shift. Pay was ok but camp is ran by a company who also manages prisons and it shows. Promised the world while drug along with zero advancement unless it’s temporarily filling in for weeks at a time. Constant employee turnover. Do no recommend for anyone with work ethic or pride.

Good pay Good crew

Unorganized Management out of touch with crews Your just a number Constant employee turnover

Bad company to work for

Very cliquey if you are not a family member of someone that works there or have not worked with someone at another place you are basically an outcast. Management is a joke and I mean I joke very disrespectful and rude.

Friendly staffs and approachable management.

Fun environment to work especially the Calgary office. Enjoyed my time there.Travel expense are covered and relocation assistance is well covered. Staffs are friendly and always willing to guide fresh intakes. All in all , I had a good time.

Not a Permanent job.

I worked there as instrumentation tech. company is good but no job security any time they can kick you out of the job without any reason. If you are looking short term position go ahead.

Free lunches

Plenty of exposure to large projects

You'll get plenty of exposure to large projects but can get pigeonholed to doing certain tasks. As with all companies, high utilisation is encouraged.

Good work/life balance. Terrible leadership commitment

Upper management is out of touch with the workforce. Talks a big game, but doesn't walk the talk. It's unfortunate, because they could have a great company, but it's all broken promises.

Fast paced, but good team work

A typical day was fast paced, good teamwork.Unstable work, you work then you wait to work again. Overall they were a great place to work, but stability of work due to economic reasons makes it hard. Work personnel are always changing, and the pay isn’t the best.

Fast paced

Good company overall

Good company to work for in general. Got reduction in benefits due to the economy while I was employed there. Stayed in camp provided by client under CLAC contract.

Good shift terrible pay for field/camp work

Want to make the same as a job in town that would have you home every night but don't mind leaving home every second week to stay in camp for no insensitive in pay to compare? Then you'll love it lol.

Keeping wages low and expectations high

They’ve taken a good portion of the market by cutting wages and expenses, and raising employee expectations. It’ll always be a downhill slide. It’s a job, but try a different company if possible

There really aren’t any. It’s a job

Management is always looking to cut a buck at your expense and blame the clients

Waste of your life

If you're looking for a steady job with NO career advancement opportunities, work in Fort McMurray with AECOM. Their below averages wages and demeaning work tasks/atmosphere will keep you barely paying the bills until the day you can't take it. Don't let anyone fool you, the camps are terrible, the flights are always messed up, and anyone working for CNRL can and will treat you like a bag of * daily.

If you like seat time, odds are you'll be getting alot of it. Tonnes of time to rethink your choice to work at a CN site, desserts are good in camp

Straight time, impossible to get answers from aecom about any personal questions, CLAC is a joke, the covid protocols are a joke, camp sucks, camp food is salty

steady work

Decent place to work but gets repetitive after a few months. Great co workers and nice camp although it is quite a walk to and from the work site. best part is the 7 days off.

lots of time off

very repetitive work

I worked in Toronto for Aecom and we had a team approach to all aspects of the projects. Co workers were top class. Greeting each other in the morning was the order of the day, regardless how your day started that one little "good morning" set the tone for your day. Great company.

Regular lunches together as a team.
