Not the worst place to work. Extremely boring, from the people to the job itself. Work there if you are unable to do better. Not much room to grow, you would have to literally work there for 10+ years to see a managerial position.

Lots of politics amongst the sales leaders and who they choose as their favorites. More attention needs to be paid to everyone's success - better more experienced managers are necessary to do this. Also, time off is an earned privilege- don't make it seem like it's a burden for your staff to take the time off they need. We are human beings not robots. The benefits are fantastic and they pay is decent for Small business but more time can be spent developing and retaining talent. More attention needs to be paid towards your staff mental health - there are people suffering from severe anxiety and are looked down upon as weak. Try and understand your sales staff better
Pros
Free lunches from time to time, Sometimes get to leave the office at 4/4:30pm on Fridays, Opportunity for advancement
Cons
Long hours, Lots of politics with Management, Not much support

Good place to start. If you are fresh out of school this is definitely a great place to start. Brings people out of their shell if they are an introvert.

ADP had many ups and downs. They have a very structured environment and hands-on training which is great for any new-comers to the sales industry.

Management has a Micromanagement style, so you must get comftorable making your boss look really good and being watched closely.
Pros
Learned alot
Cons
Too many politics and red tape.

In my humble opinion and experience ... the sales culture on the Small Business side is vastly different from that of Major Accounts and it all comes down to leadership.

Politics are an issue when they shouldn't be.
Pros
Professional work environment
Cons
Politics

Great place to work with excellent training. ADP fosters a great culture and there are opportunities to advance your career within sales if you are successful and if you have a strong "brand".

"Brand" has a unique definition within the organization. At times this is based on strong sales results, working with ethics, supporting leadership, taking initiative on projects and helping your peers and leaders. At other times "brand" can refer to preferred treatment, friendships, and politics. If you don't do well with politics this may not be the place for you. If you are great at playing politics and are lucky to be preferred by your leader by agreeing with them holding your opinions and views to yourself and your focus is to help your leader this may be the right place for you. Certain employees are held to different standards, if you are liked this can be an amazing place to have a career. The role is demanding and there is a lot of pressure to achieve numbers and targets with limited support from the same leaders who hold you to those targets. Everyone is responsible to a number/target and your territory and leader determine the amount of opportunity you have.
Pros
Great organization, structure, job advancement
Cons
Lack of direct leadership, high pressure, politics, demanding

Decent first job out of university, steep learning curve. Once you gain the necessary skills get out.

Below average pay in every way, top performers are rewarded with decent contest winnings however salaries and commission are a joke.

Sales reps spend far too much time dealing with angry customers.

It was hard selling a solution that I wouldn't recommend to a friend or family member to to service issues.

Experience
Cons
Pay, culture, management

Typical day involves managing, growing and prospecting your territory to hit your forecasted revenue goal.
I have learned a lot of new sales techniques and styles.

Management in my experience was constantly changing.

Co-workers were great.

Hardest part of the job was with the implementation process.

The most enjoyable part of the job was the Sales Training week.

ADP offers some of the best sales incentives to their top performing employees.
Pros
incentives
Cons
high turn over

ADP is a great company to work for. They have allowed me the opportunity to grow and build success while giving me the needed support. Career opportunities can be endless although the salary pay is relatively low from an industry standpoint.

My role in this company was to hunt business using our partnerships, RBC & BMO which was a great resource.
A typical day at work would be meeting 3-4 banks within a day and multiple calls to business owners to sell them on Payroll. The hardest part of this job was the busy schedule of driving from one part of the City to another.

I truly enjoyed the learning curve, ADP invested quite some time in their employees ie; Lunch and learn
