Best job ever!

This was by far my favorite job. I loved working with the students that I was assigned! I loved seeing their faces when they finally understood a skill that we were working on.

Straightforward

1) Go to work and set up tutoring schedules as well as other office duties. A lot of things were learn as you go because of how new this business was but it was simple enough that there was little stress. 2) Not much learning here, just simple data entry, printing, and emailing. 3)Management had no plans to expand despite being moderately successful and often streamlined the work in a way that gave everyone a lot of flexibility. Work was not limited to the office. 4) My co-workers were average joes. They did their jobs and had creative input. 5) The hardest part of the job was probably the commute at the time. 6) The most enjoyable part of the job was the flexibility which let you be responsible for your work.

Pros

Very flexible

Cons

Dead end job

inconsistent management

Too many changes in Supervision, lack of moral, and inconsistencies in the supervision selection. Individuals with no experience or educational back ground are chosen to direct a company that must meet high quality standards, in addition their is a lack of ethics in the way they treat the staff. No respect at all!!

Pros

the clientel is what makes he difference

Cons

Lake of moral

It is a rewarding job, but there is printing paper and ink expenses, as well as, time consuming weekly and monthly reports.

I like working for this company, but there is too much paperwork involved, weekly and monthly reports. There are too many lessons to download and print out to teach children. There is too much paper and ink used, which can be very costly, but you will never be reimbursed for it. The job is part-time so that the company does not have to give the employees health insurance.

Pros

I get to work around my own schedule and I enjoy working with children.

Cons

I have to drive to the children's home to tutor them, but the company does not reimburse me for gas money.

Productive and Effective way to reach out for students

A to Z tutoring is a home based tutoring. It allows tutors to meet with in their own home with parents supervision. It is really fun because the setting is more relaxing than a whole classroom. For the most part, parents gladly cooperate to help tutors fulfill their assignments in their most comfortable way. It is a great experience. That is why I am fond with that kind of teaching. It has also proven that students who are under this one-on-one instruction perform better back in the classroom and on standardized tests.

Pros

relaxing one-on-one instruction

Cons

Meet students at their home, Schedule cancelling at the last minute
