A&W Restaurants Employee Review

Enough Shifts

Nice place to work as you would get enough shifts. However there is open favouritism from management for some staff. Also management can improve on safety equipments in the kitchen to reduce workplace injuries.

Same role

Poor working environment with no compassion for long term employees.

Poor management teams who are looking to exploit employees by providing lower wages and little to no pay raises. Due to the LMIA program, they hire unskilled labor (as it is cheap) and provide them with more shifts over people who have been working for years. Management team keeps employees in the dark regarding pay raises and management decisions. Overall, the most horrible working experience I have had.

Pros

Flexible timings and meals are 50% off

Cons

Poor management, Below par hourly pay, extensive cleaning tasks

Good first job

Getting abused by customers every day was fun Management could've been better. Played favourites, blamed staff when things went wrong. Only positive was coworkers.
