Overnight assistant manager in Edmonton, AB
on 22 September 2022
The a and w i worked at was toxic to the point where people just undermine each other. I was promoted to late night supervisor because there was no one that wants to cover it
Cashier/Customer Service in Fairview, QC

depends on the day
some days were fast-paced while others were slow, when it gets busy it's really busy, we were definitely understaffed and overworked, although the job was chill, especially when you know how to do everything such as managing cash, taking orders, cooking and giving food. What i didn't like was that at times you were tasked to do heavy lifting such as stocking up and that wasn't what i had signed up, i felt like there was a lack of trust between the management and the employee. Had me stay after my shift had ending and some days werent even given a break

Fun place to work
Pretty fun place to be at. Management support can be a hit or miss depending on the person.Pay wont be as good for the work done compared to the competiotns withing the same area

Only good for short-term high-school job seekers
The job is a good intro for high school students to get a sense of an actual workplace. However, once you memorized all the menu items and the steps to do things, the job gets boring. I recommend only high school students, and try not to work there for over 3-6 months.
Supervisor in Red Deer, AB
on 26 August 2022
Careful who you trust
Never worked fast food or supervisory position. I was completely honest during the interview, got hired on the spot. Training was provided for everyone, as it was a completely new location, but no supervisor training was provided. That I think was poor planning, was basically a sink or swim situation. The store manager let me work a full overnight shift and then let go me after I had punched out.
