Mismanagement at it's finest

Indeed featured review

Everyone has an answer but the people who are in charge have no idea what the question is. There are changes being made to benefit the minority and being a subsidy of JBT is the worst this that could happen to any company

Great coworkers; terrible pay and management

The workers here are for the most part very good. Except for a few exceptions everyone works as a team and the days go smoothly. Pay for the work we do is abysmal; any stainless shop in the area pays far better. Leads in the shop are great but management above them is beyond terrible. It seems like the worse a worker is the more they protect them and try to keep them. If a worker is good then they couldn’t care less if they leave. Rather than try to retain experienced welders and fabricators they think they can replace them through temp agencies. Definitely would not recommend working here.

productive work

stayed busy welding pipe and hanging pipe lines for different food companies. Management was informative and kind. Hardest part of the job was being on the road for undetermined amounts of time.

Pros

Traveling

Cons

Only one 30min break for lunch

You'll work with some really good guys.

You basically are building skid systems for companies all over the world from scratch. Companies like Kraft, Mars, ConAgra and other heavy hitters. They'll teach you how to weld and fit tube and pipe as well as build tanks and frames. Management could be a little more knowledgeable about the job that their employees do so they can understand problems and troubleshooting. Your coworkers are normal blue collar guys that are for the most part easy to get along with. Hardest thing would be putting in all that hard work and then getting a check that does not reflect the effort you put in. Non Union so your starting at 13.00 and getting a 1-2 percent raise once a year. Good part is its always different everyday and you're always learning,

Pros

Good benefits

Cons

Abysmoly low starting pay with small raises
