Good money and good people
This place is great. The pay is significantly more then expected and the management and staff are quality people. Lots of driving and down time. The day goes by quickly. The sporadic condensed work can be tough physically and mentally. The payvis worth it if you can do it.

Be very careful with them
They Pay good if you don't have a laptop they'll fire you they won't give you a chance to get one so I'll be very careful with them I wouldn't really tell me why but I knew why they fired me......

A Hidden Gem of a Job
Honestly did not expect much at first, thought it was just another standard labour job. From the start though, the enthusiasm of the management and operations team genuinely made transitioning into a new job 1000 times much easier.I never worked as a Truck Driver but after a few weeks of training (by a very knowledgeable, well spoken, and hardworking trainer), and a few days as a Nav, I felt more than comfortable working the shifts as a driver, working with the Nav to make the day the best it could be.The days can be long, but definitely rewarding at the end of the day. Definitely secure with pay, especially at the age I am at.More importantly, I just genuinely enjoy it.The whole day feels like a game almost, but at the same time it’s like solving constant puzzles, thinking outside of the box and working on just bettering oneself in general that I appreciate about this job most.

Competitive and Goal oriented
Working for 1800-Got-Junk? has taught me so many transferable skills that I will be able to take with me into future work places. Before I started here my communication skills were lacking, this job has helped bring my confidence levels up when it’s comes to interacting with customers and fellow employees. This job can be a great stepping stone anyone’s work career.

Good people, flexible scheduling, hard work
This work is not for everyone, but if you can appreciate working hard for decent pay it might be for you. Some days fly by before you know it, others can get extremely physical and sometimes gross. The days are long (10-12hrs usually), but that gives you a lot of time to really get to know your co-workers. Drivers earn $18 - $25 an hour with the possibility to advance to higher paying training/team leading positions in just a few months. Navigators earn $16 - $20 an hour, but have much more time to relax throughout the day. Between tips and repurposing junk, there's plenty of opportunity to earn extra on the side. As long as you can communicate your needs (ex. Other jobs, family obligations, school) management is flexible and considerate about scheduling. One of the best parts about this job is being allowed to take home (or donate) the things you find on the job. That can mean furnishing your apartment, scoring some exercise equipment, picking up supplies for a new hobby (musical instruments, crafting materials, etc), or even filling your freezer. Another interesting feature is that you get to see parts of the GTA you hadn't before; new neighbourhoods, expensive houses, industrial/commercial infrastructure. The most difficult part of this job is maintaining a good work-life balance throughout your time here. The physical nature of this work can lead to major exhaustion beyond the work week, so prioritizing full sleeps, meal prepping, and a chore day is important. Overall working for this company is a great opportunity for a young adults, students, and seasonal workers.
