Full job description

This is a full-time permanent position, working 75 hours bi-weekly.

At Energy, Mines and Resources, we are committed to a healthy and sustainable resource sector, managed in partnership with Yukoners. We embrace a work environment where problem solving, creativity, teamwork, risk management and personal effort result in the attainment of our goals and those of our clients.

The Assessment and Abandoned Mines (AAM) branch of Energy, Mines and Resources (EMR) leads and directs the management and remediation of abandoned mines in the Yukon. Effectively delivering this service to the people of the Yukon requires commitment to the highest levels of professionalism. Our work is focused on environmental protection, health and safety, effective project delivery and sound financial planning.

Our Project Managers are responsible for leading and delivering a variety of projects on remote abandoned mine sites where protection of receiving waters is of vital importance. We are looking for a highly motivated and committed individual who has proven experience in project management and has the ability to handle competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Collaboration within our multidisciplinary team is critical to our success and therefore the ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
