Fabricator & Welder – Hydraulitechs Solutions Ltd.

Reports to: Shop Manager

Job Summary

The Fabricator & Welder is responsible for executing all fabrication and welding(MIG) tasks required for the production . This includes initiating steel material orders, receiving and inspecting materials, and performing cutting and welding operations according to production orders. The role requires close collaboration with Planning, Shipping/Receiving, Quality Control (QC), and Assembly departments to ensure timely and high-quality fabrication.

Key Responsibilities

  • - Initiate ordering of steel channels, tubing, and other fabrication materials through the Procurement department.
  • - Coordinate with the Shipping/Receiving department for joint receipt and verification of incoming steel materials.
  • - Perform technical inspections of received steel materials to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • - Organize, and manage storage of steel materials in designated areas.
  • - Cut and weld steel components according to production orders and engineering drawings.
  • - Ensure welding quality and conformance to technical standards and safety requirements.
  • - Collaborate with the Planning department to align fabrication schedules with production timelines.
  • - Work closely with the QC team and Assembly Leader to ensure fabricated components meet quality and fit-up requirements.
  • - Use order log to track production orders and update fabrication progress.
  • - Ensure all tasks are completed within the deadlines set by the shop Manager.
  • - Follow safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and maintain awareness of welding and fabrication hazards.

Pay: $28.00-$38.00 per hour
