Overview
We are looking for a Junior or Senior level Marine/Outboard Technician or Rigger to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and be proficient in the repair, maintenance and/or installation of Outboard Motors and their associated systems. This role would see you as part fast paced Marine & Powersports shop with a dynamic team of long term employees. This exciting industry is constantly evolving and we are looking for a passionate technician to add to our team.

We are looking for the following:

• Proficiency with outboard engines
• Ability to diagnose & problem solve
• Works well in a team environment & independently
• Strong knowledge of all boat systems: electrical/electronics, plumbing, steering, etc.
• Physically fit to lift up to 50 pounds
• Willing to learn & stay current with industry standards; with opportunity to further your education in this field
• Participate in maintaining a clean & safe shop
• Support a culture of continuous improvement to increase efficiencies & reduce costs
• Specialty tools provided; must have personal tools
• Forklift certificate an asset but not required
• Yamaha, Suzuki, Honda Marine, etc. experience is a massive benefit to this position, but it is not necessary; training will be provided.
• We are a certified dealer for Yamaha, Suzuki, Honda lines of outboards

Experience

• Outboard and small engine experience is required
• Proven experience working with hand tools, power tools, and mechanical systems is preferred.
• Strong mechanical knowledge is essential for diagnosing issues and implementing solutions.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• A commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the technical field.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $23.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
