We have an immediately opening for an Intermediate Accounting Clerk position. This position requires competency in accounting and software systems; however, dealership specific experience is not required. Our Controller and accounting office will work to support you in learning your role. Our goal is to add responsibility required for the position gradually to give you the opportunity to succeed.

Job Description:

  • Analyze financial transactions and accounts to determine accuracy and completeness of entries.
  • Review, investigate and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents and reports.
  • Prepare various other monthly account reconciliations.
  • Set up employee profiles in various systems.
  • Submit WorkSafe BC claims, manage company group benefits program.
  • Develop an in-depth working knowledge of all operational and accounting computer software/equipment systems that impact the accounting and financial reporting processes.
  • Maintains a high level of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Other special projects, reports, tasks, and financial assessments.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of two years accounting specific experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with a high level of proficiency in Excel
  • Must possess strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Team oriented, flexible and focused on maintaining a high-level of accountability
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to multi-task in a high-volume, fast-paced working environment, frequently under urgent deadlines
  • Automotive industry specific experience a bonus, but not required.
