JOB OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for a talented Junior Interior Designer who is passionate about residential design to join our team.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

  • Coordinate and conduct client meetings to assess needs and requirements
  • Establish project program and design concepts
  • Prepare and present design proposals to prospective clients
  • Prepare design and construction drawings with accuracy
  • Provide outstanding customer service to our clients
  • Develop and maintain open communication and strong relationships with trade contractors and suppliers
  • Maintain high standard of design throughout project including ensuring design intent is maintained during build stage
  • Assist with resolving design challenges as required during stages of design and build
  • Assist construction department during project implementation and construction phase
  • Manage individual time and deadlines
  • Review specifications of materials & finishes to ensure feasibility, and communicate such information in design and construction drawings
  • Review design proposals with lead designer during design revisions and prior design presentation to clients

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Has a minimum of 2 years’ experience in residential design with strong understanding of residential construction process
  • Possesses good space planning / layout skills and loves to explore the possibilities of space during design development
  • Has an accredited degree/diploma in Interior Design
  • Is proficient in AutoCad, SketchUp and various Microsoft Office applications
  • Is a self-starter, organized and detailed oriented
  • Is able to work independently and in a team environment to meet deadlines

Experience:

  • Interior Design: 2 years (required)
  • AutoCAD: 3 years (required)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $42,000.00-$45,000.00 per year
