About the Role

Reporting to the Director, Finance & Administration, the position is primarily responsible for cost accounting and assisting with full-cycle accounting for our group of companies. You will be an excellent team player and thrive in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Operations to ensure accurate cost capture and alignment with manufacturing processes, monitor and analyze cost variances, investigating root causes
  • Assisting with full cycle accounting including posting journal entries, performing GL account reconciliations, overseeing and record intercompany transactions
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reporting as required
  • Developing and implementing accounting related policies and procedures including internal controls
  • Assist with ERP implementation
  • Assist with year end annual review for group of companies
  • Other projects and tasks assigned by the Director, Finance & Administration

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary degree in accounting or related discipline
  • Working towards a CPA Designation (or newly designated)
  • Must have 3+ years of recent related accounting experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of cost accounting
  • Experience with ERP systems within a manufacturing setting
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a hands on environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills

Work Environment

This role is based on manufacturing and office environment and operates in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting where priorities may shift and teamwork is essential. The position requires a high level of professionalism and customer-focused communication.

Monday – Friday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
