ENGAGING JUNIOR ACCOUNTANT

My client is an established Mining company in Surrey with a special interest in the junior mining sector.

A junior accountant position has become available, due to three week medical leave and has the possibility of becoming permanent.

The role includes managing the data entry of accounts payable and receivable invoices as well as wire payments and bank deposits up for five companies. Preparing weekly/monthly check runs and wire transfers. Assisting the Controller and accounting team with other ad hoc projects on an as needed basis.

To be successful candidate for this role you will need to have at least three years experience in a junior resource company environment. Must have the ability to process high volume with accuracy, and the ability to problem solve and think outside the box. Previously worked with foreign currency, and such software as SAP, JD Edwards and QuickBooks. Strong communication skills and be attentive to detail is a must. And be able to start immediately
