This site HSE Advisor position is an important member of the Strike Energy Team. The primary focus of this role is to provide safety support to the Business Unit on various projects in the pipeline and facility construction industry.
Working with Strike Energy’s Operations management and employees with the management and implementation of the STRIKE Health Safety and Environment Management Systems, including Codes of Practice, Safe Work Practices and Safe Job Procedures Safe Works.
Providing advice and support to ensure that incident and injury prevention is an integral part of our business.
Facilitate new employee, ISP and contractor on-site orientations. Ensuring stakeholder comprehension of Strike Energy's Codes, Guidelines and Policies.
Participate in incident investigations and facilitate TapRoot cause analysis, develop and communicate corrective actions accordingly.
Help identify, assess and control hazards utilizing several methodologies including; conducting site hazard assessments, site safety inspections and worker observations. Assist with pre-job hazard assessments and mitigation strategies, including development of site specific safety plans. Frequent site / job-site visits to evaluate HSE performance and audit effectiveness of HSEMS.
Preferred Education and Experience
Certified trainer in multiple fields.
Five years of progressive HSE management experience in the pipeline and facility
Require a CSO or CRSP designation.
Secondary education preferred.
Valid Driver's License
Must be eligible to work in Canada
