Provide assistance in the area of credit card adjudication as well as on going maintenance of all active accounts. Constant review and assessment of credit risk on small to medium sized consumer accounts. Support both inbound and outbound call lines with a focus around providing service in excellence to all card holders.
Maintaining/exceeding established standards and targets and adhering to all credit policies, procedures and guidelines.
Administering and controlling credit terms and limits.
Performing all credit limit reviews, reinstatements and account maintenance
Assessing credit worthiness of prospective customers and approving / recommending and negotiating credit terms and limits appropriate to the customers requirements and ability.
Conducting the initial fraud review of applications and taking appropriate action
Converse directly with the card holder or applicant
Interacting effectively with other areas that impact the Credit Department
Ability to work on a rotating weekly schedule.
Excellent telephone communication skills with emphasis on customer service
Good listening and negotiation skills
Strong problem solving, analytical skills and general knowledge of the business environment which will assist with fraud detection
Ability to communicate tactfully to various levels of business management in a professional manner.
Ability to interpret / effectively utilize credit bureau reports
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Prioritization skills required to manage a heavy workload.
Excellent written communication skills and the able to multitask.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team setting.
Highly motivated with ability to work independently in a fast paced environment.
Flexible, reliable, conscientious and able to follow directions.
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook are an asset.
